Let’s start off with the small news first. The recruitment thread link can be found on the first page of the first post of the chatter box. We also have the older recruitment threads still around if anyone is interested in checking those out. Now for the main course!
A few of the skills in the game system has changed. Some have combined with others, others have upgraded for better use and some have even gotten a change in name. For instance Persuade is now known as Beguile and has become one with Lie. Characters that have points in such categories will have both skill points combined. This may give a few characters an added boost to a certain jutsu that they may have their eyes on! The characters will soon be changed to reflect these changes followed by the clans and then the techniques. So next time you rp give some of these skills a try. New skills open up to future possibilities.

March 20th Experience Thread
You may have noticed that the Requesting Rewards and Experience Report threads have vanished. This is because we have combined the two threads in light of the guild update. Use this thread like the Requesting Rewards thread, but only one post per character like the Experience Report thread. When you complete a training session, if you weren't already rewarded, PM a crew member to check your training, give you your reward, and update your profile. This new thread will function as a means to both record your training sessions as well as give you a means to request rewards. You can find this thread in Shimagakure's main subforum, the same place where the Chatterbox and Hurt and Heal threads are located.

March 15th - RESTART!
Good news and bad news guys and gals. First the good news. Shimagakure is back and running again! New mascot! New recruitment thread. Even a new front page! So come back and begin to post and check on your character to see where they are. But not all is well. Seems like Shimagakure came under attack during spring making us jump ahead to 1 Summer. Check out the story to see what has occurred and check around the different threads to see what has happened.
March 14th - Profile Changes
The crew has decided to change the way we all update profiles to make it easier for the members, as well as for the crew when it comes to making sure the profiles are accurate. We are going to re-post all of the current profiles with a crew member's account so that regular members can't edit them. Whenever you wish to make an update to your profile, whether it be background info, description, stats, ect, you may post the information into your designated post in the Experience thread. Afterward, PM a crew member to check this information and have it added to your profile.
March 6th - New Recruitment Thread, New Mascot
Just a few more adjustments and everything should be ready to go. As a reminder to everyone try to make your exiting day post as once we begin we’ll be starting on a new day. In the mean time show some love to our new recruitment thread here, created by the guild’s new mascot:

First of all, Myself and the rest of the crew would like to extend a Happy Valentines Day to all of our loyal and dedicated memebers of Shima! We understand that the RP has been pretty slow and pretty much non-exsistant the past few weeks but that was because of some major changes in crew, since many of the crew memebers felt they needed a break from our wonderful village.
BUT ALAS! DON'T BE AFRAID! The remaining crew members, (Katz, McClane, Kirate, and Myself) have been very very busy making some changes in how a few things look and work around here, because we believe that things need a bit of simpalizing! Along with this change in crew and some of our forums and game system, we will soon be having a change in our storyline to accommodate all the remaining members of our village and to hopefully draw in some new members as well!
We are all looking forward to finishing up the changes and getting our new story put into place! It's not just you guys with the urge to get back to the RP, we as crew, are dying to get back to it as well! We just want to make sure things run as smoothly as possible!
And with that, the crew of Shimagakure extend our wishes for a Happy Valentines Day to all, and a major thank you to all the members for the patients!!!

February 12th - Happy Valentine's Weekend!!
It’s the weekend and time for all of you to get prepared for V-day. No, not Viper’s Day or Viral Disease Day. It is for Valentine’s Day! Unfortunately due to changes in crew, plot and the game system we will not be able to get around to a special event in Shimagakure this year. Still all is not lost. You can participate in Gaia’s Valentine’s event and send out a few letters of admiration and love to fellow members of the guild. Maybe even a special present to someone who has stood out to you in their rp or activity in the guild. However you decide to spend this weekend have fun.
Remember: Be a Heart Stealer, not a Heartbreaker. heart
January 21st - Valentine's is Coming!
Along with the month of love, we will be holding a festival of love in the role play with the next day change. This festival in Shimagakure is full of gift giving tradition and an evening dance. Make sure you have some Ryo on you to give your date the night of their life. A new shop will open up on Spring 4 where you can purchase romantic gifts. There will be only one lesson in the Academy in order to give you time to find a date, get gussied up and ready for the dance!

December 14th: PVP Beta!
Woo hoo! The crew has discussed and has decided to give PVP [Player versus Player] a try in the Chatterbox [Extended Discussion]. Your character must be level 5 to participate. These PVP threads will be considered "Twilight Time" matches, meaning yes they would have really happened. The time we skip between seasons will be considered the time these matches would have taken place. In the Extended Discussion is an announcement that explains how to play the PVP Beta. Follow the designated rules and you'll be good to go! Depending on how the matches run, we'll consider on making the PVP a permanent part of the guild.
And YES you do get experience and rewards for these PVP matches!

December 7th - Dorms + Apartments
With the new reconstruction of the Housing District, we'll be combining the dorms and shinobi apartments together! Head to the Housing District to lend a helping hand to the village. There will be plenty of exercises and lots of rewards. Students and apartment residence will also get the chance to customize their apartments! You might have a roommate though, so there will be lots of negotiations! An exercise will be given to you and your roommate once we have finished the apartments. Exciting! If you clan doesn't have a clan thread, make sure you check the first post of the Housing District to see if you're ok with your roommate!
December 1st - Forums are Cured!
Yay! The gaian mods have fixed our forums. Posting is back to normal now, everyone! Enjoy your roleplaying! Don't forget the use of the Extended Chatterbox Forum! Its a little lonely there, so feel free to make a "Mock" tournament to mess around with the game stats or just chat away! Thank you everyone for being patient and trying to help out with pointers.
