For how long they traveled probably didn't seem the same as the actuality of it. Rycek could put land behind her quickly and made travel efficent. Eventually they were slowing and Rycek hopped over a large fallen tree, dropping the man with a command from the elf on her back.
She hopped down quickly, pinning him to the ground and looking around some before she dropped close to his ear. "Don't make a sound and don't move around too much and I'll let you up." Getting off of him and crouched as the wolf hunkered down again. "You're a fool to wander about now...didn't you see the army outside this forest when you came into it?"

Randall wished he could of rode on the back of the wolf, to keep his body from moving around with each step the animal took was a bit painful on the body. Still he didn't know how long they traveled, all he knew was that they had reached some place when he was suddenly let loose from the wolf's jaw and fell straight to the ground. He let out a small noise before rolling onto his back and before he could even move the elf was pinning him down, telling him what he should do if he actually wanted to move around freely. "Fine." He muttered as he was finally able to sit up once the elf was off of him. "Of course I've seen the army outside the forest, I was a part of all that not too long ago." Randall shook his head a bit to get any leaves and twigs out of his hair. "And what about you? When are your elf friends going to show up hm?"

"And yet you're in here and not a scout." He must have been a deserter, he was no spy she could tell that much of him. Maybe they had outcasted him for some reason. He wasn't unaware of everything happening however...and it made her hope all the more that that soldier would mind the words of a cat that he knew wasn't simply a cat. "I'm not with them...but they're marching this morning. I do not need you wandering about and mucking up my plans. One varient can bring down a whole city in some cases."

"Do I look like a scout?" He raised an eyebrow before giving a sigh. "I'm in here because that army out there is blocking the only way to get out of this area. I have had no choice but to follow the army because if I go anywhere else I would get caught by an elf. But it seems this damn group keeps on trying to make its way deeper into your land with each day which makes my plan to return home impossible." Randall knew he had to play keep along which was not fun, but it was either that or get caught by elves in a blink of an eye. But Randall blinked as the elf before him stated she was not with her kind. So there were elves who did not fight in the war, that was a shock. But then an eyebrow went up at the mention of plans, just what was she trying to do? "Okay, and may I ask what you are going to do? After all, these are lives you are putting into your plans elf." Did not know her name, refer to her by race, simple enough.

"You would not be in my plans if you did not bumble about the forest, Human." Giving him back what he got but her attention was more on what needed to be done and tabs to be kept rather than arguing with him. "Not only is that army pushing you away from your home but now it is threatening mine as well. They march to the forest and the elves are marching from it. That means that this will be the battleground. And I will not let myself be slaughtered because of a flaw. You making that battle happen sooner than it should is a flaw."

"Well excuse me for trying to find a place to hide before both sides started to kill each other. The last thing I want is an arrow in my neck or a sword across my back." Randall watched the elf carefully as she seemed to be more focused on what her so called plans were than him. "I know what they are doing, I watch them at night sometimes and eavesdrop on them." Though he gave her a look. "Again, you're not the only one who doesn't want to be slaughtered here. For a forest it is hard to find a good hiding place anyway." Slowly Randall got into a crouched position and made his way over to her. "So, what do you plan on doing to both sides?"

She rolled her eyes. Humans, did they have to explain everything when it wasn't needed? The man got a warning growl at his movement though from the wolf crouched next to them. "You are not supposed to hide in the forest, you're supposed to let the forest hide you." If he could understand that. "I plan on doing nothing but watch. Only then will I decide what I will do. Maybe I will help a side...maybe I'll let them be a distraction to each other and make my way from here, out of the forest."

Randall had a feeling that the wolf was going to react to any kind of movement he made, which is why he stopped and kept a few feet of distance from the elf. When she spoke her little advice on the forest he thought about it for a moment, and he did agree that the forest was better at hiding a person than a person was better at hiding in it, he knew he just didn't known the forest well enough to do such a thing. When the elf spoke of her plan Randall tilted his head in wonder and realized that she could be his only means of escape. "Well if you are going to do your second plan then you might have a tag along if you don't mind it. Once I get out of the forest I can try and find my way home from there." Of course the elf territories extended beyond the forest, so Randall had to be careful. Thinking of what he had to do somewhere down the line made him shift on the spot, it looked like they were going to be there for awhile. "So, what's your name? Mine is Randall Fargas."

"I mind if you folly." She wasn't here to help him or anyone for that matter. She was here to see how this went and make her decisions accordingly. It just so happened that he was in the way and could be once again if she let him go wandering off and what not. "Keyloriah Rhydelrim." Motioning to the wolf with them, "That is Rycek."

Pip and his group moved through the forest, silent as death. They had traveled these paths often enough to know where the forest hid them. Pip was at the front, moving in camoflauge of the trees; with his gangly limbs, he wouldn't be surpised if he was mistaken for one, himself.

His troops advanced steadily, making a sort of funnel between them. even as other commanders and captians along the elvish border were working their own tactics. It was quiet. to quiet.
"We're moving forward. get ready...it's been too quiet. unless our soldiers have lost their voices or becomes suddenly experts in being able to silence elvish voices, something is off."
His claymore draw and kept at his side, and nudging his horse forward with his heels, leading his division to the forest. with any luck, they would basically form a large U shape and catch the elves in it. minimal losses to both sides if he could force a surrender.

"Ok." So Randall was stuck trying to find his own way out, that was just great. So he kept quiet as he tried to figure out what was going on since he was kept in the dark, he didn't think that the battle was going to end either quickly or easy and by the time the day was done he would be far away from it all. But he gave a small name to both Keyloriah and Rycek. "Well it is nice to meet you Key, you and your wonderful wolf." Smiling nervously to said wolf when he said that; the beast was wonderful, but he wished it was more of a regular wolf size. "So, how long have the two of you been together?"

"Keyloriah. I haven't said you may call me anything else." Now was not the time for pleasantries as he seemed to be focused on such things and she gave him a hushing motion again as her ears twitched. "We can discuss such things at another time. Everyone is moving now. Stay close or you're going to find yourself in a tight spot that you won't want to be in." Motioning him then to follow.

"Well it's either Key or me butchering your full elven name there." But it seemed that now was not the time to actually be nice as Key then hushed Randall. He frowned a bit but gave a nod and followed after her through the bush, and since the battle just started he had his hands ready to use his weapons just in case. Even though he didn't have the better senses Randall kept his ears open and his eyes scanning the trees and area before him, the last thing he needed was for someone to jump out at him and get the best of him.
