I have seen that some people are pro-life personally but pro-choice politically. As I understand the argument you are saying that while you wouldn't personally have an abortion because you believe it is wrong you can't make that decision for other people because everyone has the right to free will and make their own choices and it isn't your place to judge others. Did I get that right? I just want to make sure I am understanding you correctly.
Now my question, do you believe there just shouldn't be laws in generally? And don't get me wrong or read this in an argumentative tone because it is NOT. If I wanted to kill my mother-in-law (not saying I do, just IF wink ) should I legally be allowed to because although it is wrong it is my choice and I will eventually face my punishment for that? See, much different than how I used to be, I do not pass judgement on those who have had abortions. I am probably one of the biggest advocates for forgiveness, compassion, understanding, and all that jazz. But to me making something that harms others illegal is not passing judgement but rather it is protecting that group of people of which that action harms. Did I lose you here?
Bottom line of what I am saying is that if you believe abortion is the killing of an innocent human being why do you not think it should be illegal unless of course you are an anarchist (which some people are, I'm not passing judgement here)?

No I believe in laws but free will means they can choose to break them but that doesn't mean they go unpunished. They knew the concequnces and they choosed to risk it. I believe that every action or choice and affect people in the long run or later in life, weither good or bad.
Say that some needed help with something, you don't have to help them but you choosed to, you most likly feel good about yourself later or people will end up respecting you more
But say you choose to steal, you can either feel guily or keep doing it until your in jail.

So basically, it's alright for abortion to be illegal but you don't want women to be controled by some microchip or locked in cages to keep them from having abortions?

Even when I was 'pro-choice', I still wanted abortion to be illegal. At least, I still thought it should be, logically.
Abortion isn't something that helps people-- it's a cop out of life.
Honestly, how does it help someone deal with life? It's the eject button for 'problems'.
...My post had a lot of 'quotations'. XD

lymelady So basically, it's alright for abortion to be illegal but you don't want women to be controled by some microchip or locked in cages to keep them from having abortions? If it's a illegal they can still choose to get it done, but they either risk infection, imprisonment for braking the law or death if something goes seriously wrong, but that was their choice to brake the law and the concequnces in some cases can be fatal. Free will means they choose to do something even if they know the risks of the concenqunces. I can choose to drive a car but I know I can get killed in accident though I choose to do so aways.

Exactly. I think we all understand that. But if that's the way you feel about it, you aren't really politically Pro-Choice in the sense that it is used in this debate. You are Pro-Free Will, which pretty much everyone is.
