Late at night there is a large rumbling noise, followed by a crashing sound as the Great White Waffle, an experimental living training dummy, breaks out of it's prison inside the Research Facility. Solstice who is doing the rounds that night is forced to put it down and decides to do so by fusing it with the earth.
However this wasn't such a good idea, the Great White Waffle's rage and unusual body has made it form into an enormous waffle volcano in the center of the school grounds and waffles are shooting out of the top, smashing into the ground with fearsome force while hot syrup is coming out of the volcano like lava.
The Waffle Volcano is massive, towering over all the buildings at the academy. It'd take a while to climb as all the surfaces are made of Waffle. The surfaces are unsurprisingly enough, white, slippery, and many delicious ingredients are running down the sides, all dragged to the bottom in a river of molten hot syrup.
Solstice has called out all the Teachers and assistants to see what can be done about this situation, it'd only be natural for a few of the Students to notice they have something on their face or that their house has been put on a steep hill as they sleep if the teachers or assistants don't do something against it quick.
