Meh.
Definitely looks much better, but the gameplay itself was never all that fun for me. I tried to like it, honestly, but it just didn't do it for me. It was just more of the same, and not even as fun as previous games.

It was just more of the same, and not even as fun as previous games. i have had my doubts about the game from what i've heard but when i saw this trailer my urge to play the game at least once got a little stronger. after watching it over without the fanboyism, i think the aerial combat looks shaky and it is obviously a WoW clone, questing wise. most MMOs are. i think if i never played WoW and Aion was my first MMO, it would be more enjoyable.

Oh, don't let me drag your opinion of it down. It's just my own personal preference. If there's a trial, I would definitely say go for it. I played in the beta and that's the only reason I can say what I did. But again, that's how it is for me. You may love it, and I know many people do.

Aion is a boring Korean grind fest. No, I don't care that it's not actually like that. Everything I've heard is that the quests dry up after a certain level and that just reminds me of old WoW which I never want to play again.

Aion is beautiful at best but thats about it. If you crave PVP I am sure you would enjoy their "end game content" but I have to concur with the two above, I tried to like it, I loved the character creation but its just not going to tear WoW down. In fact I know a lot of people who left WoW for it and have now returned. Nothing can compete with WoW, not yet.

after cataclysm, i dont think even the KOTOR MMO, which has a huge following from previous games, will be able to compete with WoW.

Honestly, I'm really excited about Star Wars: The Old Republic. I'll definitely be playing it, and hopefully I'll enjoy it. If not, well it'll be just like Aion for me. I'll stop.
I think it'll do just fine, though. Even Aion seems to be doing pretty well.

othgan243 after cataclysm, i dont think even the KOTOR MMO, which has a huge following from previous games, will be able to compete with WoW. Filler classes, Deathwing, re-introducing pre-BC WoW instances/raids into heroics, etc...
To a person that hasn't witnessed pre-BC like some of the oldfags, it may seem like such a huge anticipation. To a person that has spent years playing pre-BC, it's not such a huge shock.
As for Aion, it's okay to a certain extent. The mechanics on the game cannot compare to WoW as a whole. Both BETA and Regular WoW were shaky at first and in the end it managed over 5 years to catch at least five million players (that may be exaggeration of course. I may be wrong.) all over the world. It depends on how the creators of Aion take their path as far as success and there is so much in that game that needs to get fixed.
That's my two cents about it.

Even Aion seems to be doing pretty well.i think most people who play WoW and other MMOs will atleast try KOTOR. i know i am cause i'm a huge star wars fan. if i like it im going to have to find a way to pay for both though cause im not done with WoW yet, not by a long shot.

The last press release had WoW's worldwide subscriptions above 12 million.
