Adventure. Adventure. Szad shut his eyes tight and gritted his teeth. he was going on an adventure. And he was going to like it. He could still hear his bonder's words in his ears; telling him eagerly to go out into the lands and try to make a few friends. To explore for a few days. To show the world that he was as shy as he first appeared. The suggestion had made shivers run down his spine and make his heart beat too quickly. Sure, he had met a few mustangs around the lands, but usually only by accident. Mostly on his part. They were all nice enough, thank goodness. But even that sometimes didn't stop his shyness.
And knowing his luck, he would find an unfriendly mustang, and he would freeze up with fear. "I am going to get hurt..." he mumbled, striding along through the thin forest edge. His ling feathering lightly sweeping over the undergrowth. He looked up at the sky. No. he would do this for his bonder. She knew what she was doing. he would trust her.

Siska had stayed stationary for most of the day; for some reason he could not explain, he was feeling rather moody. Perhaps it was the changing seasons, or the fact that he hadn't eaten since the day before... but whatever the reason, he cared not. He didn't feel like traveling very far, and so made it clear to himself that he would suffer through his little tantrum of a mood if only to gain a few hours of laziness.
However, not long before the sun had hit the center of the sky, a strange shadow presented itself at the rim of the forest. As it grew larger, Siska could make out the clear outline of a horse--a large horse, at that. But still, it was a stranger to what he considered his territory, and he felt that the least he could do was investigate this newcomer.
So, with a frown on his face, he emerged from the depths of the forest, and coming closer to the stranger, saw that it was no ordinary horse. The new stallion was exceptionally large, and looked to be a formidable opponent. Not willing to fight at the moment, Siska trotted up to the other stallion, making his presence as foreboding as possible. Perhaps he would simply be able to scare the other stallion away.
"You! You there!" he called out, closing the distance between the two. "What is your business here?"

As the voice of the other stallion shattered the air around him, Szad stopped. He looked up to see mustang he had stumbled apon. The air changed in scent. it became slightly familiar. It was the scent of the stallion, it smelled of nature and of mystery. Szad slowly raised his eyes and stared at the stallion who demanded his answer.
It was the stallion from before. Szad recognized him. It was the stallion that, like other mustangs, had found himself in the clearing a few months ago. Szad still remembered the day, it was a day of fate. So many horses meeting in one spot; what else could it have been? Szad stood, legs apart and sturdily planted. Eyes clear and sharp, ears pointed, and head held high.
"G-good day...Mr. S-stallion...."

Siska simply stared at the other stallion for a moment, stumped by his strange attitude. Most stallions would slink away when he approached, or offer to fight for the territory. But this one... he stuttered? How... pathetic.
Then his ears pricked forward as the familiar scent hit his nose. Ah! That stutter seemed more familiar now. And the stallion's unusual size was a strong hinter at the memory that tugged at Siska's mind.
"You..." Siska breathed, taking another step to bring himself within a better range of view. "I know you. You're that feeble stallion that I saw that day, so long ago." He looked the stallion over, not seeing anything interesting, and sighed. "And I see that you haven't changed at all. Lovely."
With a slight frown, he asked, "So why have you traveled this far, hm?"

Szad kept his head up proudly. Not a gesture very natural for him, he usually held his head in a low bow, hiding behind his mane. But this stallion had evoked something inside Szad...a sort of...determination. Neither hostility nor angry, it just seemed to bring out the pride in Szad's eyes. The pride and strength that was usually buried deep, deep inside his heart, very rarely allowed to see daylight. "F-feeble...?" The word had been heard by his ears more than once. It was a word that had a few ties to his past and his horrifying memories. Feeble, among other such words, was one that always carried some pain. And this was no exception. Szad frowned. " Y-you...Sir st-stallion have n-not changed m-much either...im afraid..."
Szad ignored the stallion's question, for he had no answer to match it. He had just wandered, no destination or goal in mind. And that was not a very suitable answer unfortunately.

Siska was slightly taken aback by the other stallion's comment, and his neck muscles retracted as he brought his head back in an abashed motion. His nostrils flared as he huffed out a forceful breath.
"And what exactly do you mean by that, boy?" Siska growled, slightly angered by the other's impertinence. "You haven't even answered my question."
He shook his head, turning to face the other direction. "Not that it matters to me why you travel so far. I have my own problems to address, and I know that you're no threat."

Szad backed off by placing his back leg further away defensively. He was intimidated by the other's slight hostility. But he could somehow tell that the other did not really mean to harm him. So he fought hard not to run off. He was getting better at making friends. A spark of pride grew in his chest. And it helped him control his want to run even more. "I-I just m-mean that y-you look quite the...same..." Was that not what the dark stallion was referring to with his statement as well?
"...Well I-I don't really h-have an interesting r-reason for m-my travels...Wh-what about yo-yourself S-sir?" He gave the stranger a shy smile, trying to be friendly.

Siska's brow quirked, and he sighed in exasperation. "I look the same? Well... I suppose I do." He felt no need to continue the silly argument, and in truth, was a bit surprised that the other stallion was still standing before him. When they had first met, it had seemed like he was as weak and frightened as a newborn fawn... but perhaps something had changed him, for all things changed. Whatever it was, Siska cared naught.
Siska gave a curt nod at the draft's answer. 'Good enough,' he thought, not caring to inquire further.
"I am a rogue, a traveler. That's all I do, all that I know. Perhaps the reason is simply because there's nowhere for me to settle down." He looked away from the other stallion, attempting to conceal the slightly forlorn look of his eyes. He hadn't really ever minded being a traveler, but sometimes... well, sometimes it could be wearying.

Szad smiled nervously. The other stallion seemed...closed off. Not angry and displeased, but almost...hidden. Szad wondered behind the reason. It had a very similar feeling to his own closure against people. But Szad decided against asking, something told him he would not receive a calm and polite answer. So instead he decided to continue the conversation on the note of the stallion's travels. "A r-rogue huh?" He tried to smile encouragingly, he was horrible at pulling conversations on, but he felt as if his previous behavior had come off as rude, and he wanted to wipe the slate clean. "h-have you b-been to many p-places? S-s-een many...things?"

Siska's head popped up, the mention of his travels slightly lightening his darkened mood. If there was one thing that he loved, it was seeing new places, preferably on his own, so that no other could spoil that genuine moment of pure wonder and contentment. Sure enough, he had been to many places, mainly because he had a restless soul and did not want to settle down anywhere. He had seen mountains, plains, forests, great lakes, deserts... he had seen it all. Yet he seemed to keep coming back to the darkness of the trees, where he could best conceal his dark attitude.
"Yes, I have been many places. I've seen things that would make your eyes pop from your head, metaphorically speaking." He turned, looking the draft in the eyes, his own face taking on a dream-ish look as he remembered. "The strangest thing I ever saw was the giant iron snake of the humans. It ran upon these two stick-like lines, also made of metal. It was very loud, and smelled horridly. It's black smoke clouded the air like a plague of cicadas. Now, what did they call that... hm..." His head cocked to the side as he thought, and his eyes lit up. "Ah! A train, I believe. It was the most amazing, and yet most frightening thing I have ever seen."

Szad watches patiently as the stallion began telling him of his adventures. He could tell his mood had lightened because of the topic, and that made Szad much more comfortable. He smiled at him shyly listening to the tale.
What it must have been like to travel, be free and get to see the world and its beauty. Someday Szad wanted to do the same. He had traveled before coming here, true. However the loss of his memory was too much of a blindfold to allow him to enjoy the scenery. "A t-train...?" Szad tried had to imagine this creation in his head. To him it seemed a giant, magnificent structure. Almost exactly like a large metal python slithering fast across the land. He wanted to see it, but at the same time he knew he would be scared stiff.
"That m-must have b-b-been amazing!" He smiled, "I my-myself would l-like to travel some-someday....You are quite b-brave sir."
