Taking notice of the alarmed look on the girl's face, Gabriel waved his hands off in dismissal. "No, please, don't worry about it. I'm fine really-ACHOO!!" came another sneeze, which he noticed was alarming Aki all the more. When he saw that she was returning his jacket to him, he smiled.
"Thanks," he said as Aki slipped on her sweatshirt. "But it was no big deal, just a little sniffle". Gabe gave a light chuckle. "You know what? It's kinda funny. Just earlier, I told you to quit protesting, and here I am doing the same thing! Interesting, right?"Gabriel was smiling at the girl again, for she had a good heart. Plus, it's really nice when you have someone looking out for you like that.
Gabriel started looking around the table, finally for something to drink. "Do they have any coffee or other hot breverages? I need something to warm me up from the inside." He finally turned his head toward the object that almost descended to its doom. "So, is that a camera?" He asked, pointing at it.
It was just then that he realized his nose was getting a litle rosy, a sure sign of a slight cold.

"Ah!" Aki squeaked as he sneezed again, and with a swift movement, she'd shifted to zip his jacket up around him, trying to make sure he was the toasty one now. "I guess..." she pouted as he spoke, but she didn't look very amused by it. She felt bad because she'd had her own sweatshirt the whole time, but she'd still taken his jacket, even if he had shoved it on her. She swayed a little, watching him, and bounced after him slowly.
"I'm sure they do! How can they have a winter house thing without, um.. coffee and.. hot chocolate?" She glanced down, thinking to herself, then nodded slowly. "Yeah, hot chocolate. Hmm... There's some hot stuff!" she cried, pointing suddenly to a small area on one of the tables.
She started toward it, but then paused again as he pointed to her "camera". She froze for a second, looking like a deer in the headlights. She wasn't supposed to have shown him that. "Um... don't tell anyone about it, okay?" She walked back over, avoiding Zexon's glare. The little rat was standing on top of the electronic, looking quite annoyed. She plucked him up and set him carefully upon her shoulder, then picked up the square and shuffled back to Gabriel's side.
Now he'd be able to see that the letters on the screen looked more like symbols, everything foreign to this world. Or at least to earth. A couple taps and beeps later, and she was holding up the screen toward them, and it reflected back their image. "Smile~!"

Gabriel noticed the sad look on Aki's face as he was putting on his jacket. "Hey, don't worry about it, okay? It's not like I'm gonna kill over or something."
He also took notice of the startled expression of her face when he mentioned her camera, but didn't say anything about it.
"I promise," He said in response to Aki's question. "I'm not one for blowing up people's secrets anyway."
After Aki readied the camera and stood by Gabriel, he noticed the strange symbols flowing across the screen. Strange...It's not elven, nor is it any other language I understand...what is it? Probably her native language. Gabe was snapped out of his thoughts as he heard the girl shout "smile!" and placed his arm over her shoulder and gave one winning, toothy smile. "Cheese!"

"Better not," Aki replied. If he did keel over, she wouldn't know what to do with herself. Her first and only earthling friend, dead because he'd been kind to her? That just wouldn't do!
But she nodded as he agreed not to mention the 'camera' to anyone. It definitely wasn't that, but with a couple modifications she'd managed to alter it just a little to make it able to take pictures. She was quite handy with electronics, as she'd shown before with her voice changer as well.
She grinned broadly as his arm slipped around her shoulder, and she stretched to hold the rectangular screen out in front of them and then tapped her thumb against the screen. It made a little click and their images froze upon the screen. Her arm drew it back in and she examined it with a grin. "Perfect! You're so photogenic," she giggled happily. She tapped the screen again and a menu popped up in the same odd letters, and with another few taps her smile brightened even further. "Saved! Ah... look! Even Zexon got in it!" He'd remained on her shoulder where she'd set him, and he'd even remained facing the camera.

"Well, maybe someone wanted to get in the spotlight," Gabriel laughed as he petted Zexon. He took another picture and smiled. This is one of the best he's taken in a while, and was glad to share it with his new friend.
He was staring at the broad smiles he and Aki gave. He looked down to said alien and ruffled her hair again. "Aww, don't you look so cute in this shot?" Gabe giggled, playing with her.

The little kangaroo mouse ducked his head as he was pet, but otherwise he didn't protest. Akimi let out a giggle as she watched, and then peered back at the makeshift camera, though the ruffle of her hair made her eyes shoot back toward the taller elf. "Aw, I'm not supposed to look cute," she pouted, lower lip sticking out. "I'm supposed to be full of boyish charm! Or.. something." She let out a sigh, and started tapping absently at the screen again, more foreign characters appearing as she saved the picture and stored it away. "I'm really bad at this whole blending in thing..." And she really was. She giggled and skipped and did things generally unfitting of a teenage boy. She'd have to work on it in the future. Zexon tried to make her stop when she got out of hand, but she tended to ignore him, especially when he was so small.
She glanced up at Gabriel again, and then shuffled back to the snack table, filling her cup with mountain dew, a drink that'd certainly not help tone down her hyper nature.

"I'm sorry, but I just can't help it. You are what you are, and I say you're cute! But if you don't want me to remind you of that fact, just let me know," he grinned. He was thinking of something to comfort the little alien.
"Well, let's see..you could be considered by some as a girly boy, or I guess in some cases, a homosexual, no offence if that's how you swing. Or, just a really hyper boy," he stared at her again. "I'm not making things any better, am I?"
