The Treachu Royal Banquet Hall

User Image

The banquet hall floats over a sheer pool separating it from the Main Palace. It mirrors the architectural style of the Palace with its high arches. Tall palm trees frame the towering entrance giving the banquet hall a tropical feel. At night, the banquet hall is all lit up and the image reflects in the still pool. It is very awe inspiring and many Treachu artists gather to capture the image in various mediums.

The interior is lined with long wooden tables. The Treachus have ordered special backed chairs for the students as they normally don’t use such furniture. Dark wooden paneling adorns the walls, culminating in high arches with red accents and motifs. The bulbous chandeliers that light the room are accented with gold decorations. The tables feature deep red linens with bright centerpieces designed by the Treachu themselves. The floor is decorated with a plush red carpeting that matches the other red accents in the room. At the front of the room is a large stage with a band set up. The Treachus have been kind enough to hire a band for the feast. Sounds fun and yummy!

"A-Amazing..."

Sang Ki gazed around the festive hall. His amber eyes reflected off of the shimmering lights that danced all about. The Treachu really looked like they had put much effort into this event and made sure that it was perfect as possible. Sang Ki couldn't help but commemorate them for their blistering hard work.
Sang Ki twirled with the lights, lightly dancing to the upbeat music being played as the other students walked in. Being a dancer, he couldn't help but bust a tiny move. If it wasn't for the potato casserole he was holding, Sang Ki probably would have gone into full blown hip hop mode. The colorful lizard people danced about, screaming at the top of their lungs. They seemed happy and joyful, almost as if they had just won a huge battle or something. Sang Ki couldn't help but smile, the place just oozed of good karma.

"Here scale-less one, let me take that for you."

Sang Ki was then approached by a random Treachu, who offered to take his casserole from him. Nodding, he happily gave up his questionable dish and started to continue walking to the main banquet. Reaching into his pocket, Sang Ki grabbed a pamphlet given to him when he had arrived at the airship. He aloofly gazed over the words and colorful pictures, trying to decipher what was going to be held here tonight, but it was hard to concentrate with all this liveliness. Sang Ki quickly looked up again, this time observing the random students around him. It felt awkward for him to be in a room, not only with lizard people he was unfamiliar with, but with people he didn't know either. He tried to crack a smile, but he felt ignored as the other students went about with the festivities.

Upon entering the main banquet, Sang Ki's eyes lit up with astonishment. Rows and rows of tables could be seen from miles. Food was bountiful and the decor was to die for. Sang Ki was curious of what the Treachu ate during these special times, and was willing to try anything they offered him. Sang Ki always tries anything once, it was in his nature to be adventurous even in the most questionable of times.

"I need to take a picture!!"

Without any hesitation Sang Ki retrieved his cell phone from his pocket and swiftly set it up in camera mode. A huge grin plastered onto his face as he started to think of all the possible pictures he could take that no one would be able to do.

"SELCA TIME!!!"

With that, Sang Ki ran up to the nearest Treachu lizard and worked his cute charm.

"Hey, This might sound weird, but would you like to take a picture with me?"
The aqua colored lizard blinked a few times, trying to figure out what the heck he meant by that. Scratching his head with his long fingernails, he just looked at the boy with a confusing stare.
"I'm sorry, I don't know where we could get our portraits painted right now."
"No, silly, we can use my camera phone!!"
The oblivious lizard just eyed the mischievous contraption, confused of how it worked.
"You mean this can 'take' pictures?"
"Of course! See look!"

Sang Ki stood beside the lizard creature as he knelt down a bit to reach Sang Ki's level. Sang Ki then pulled the phone away, making sure that he was able to get both him and the lizard properly. He then counted to three and pressed the necessary button to take the picture. A "click" could be heard, which caught the curious Treachu off guard a bit. Sang Ki then brought the phone over as he took a look at the pic that he had just taken. He smiled happily, liking the end result, and showed it to the Treachu he had just taken the picture with. The Treachu was amazed that such a little device was capable of such capabilities. He tapped the screen a bit to see if anything unusual would happen. Sang Ki just chuckled at the lizard a bit feeling happy that he was able to warm up a bit.

"See, this is how memories are created!"

Aderis felt like she had been walking for centuries--no for eons. As she trudged on through the endless sand dunes she saw a light in the distance. Of course, this had happened multiple times prior on this walk and every single time she found her mind had been playing tricks on her. She kept her head down; her shoulders hunched with a sigh, and kept on shuffling through the sand. When she had left the crash site, it had been blazingly hot, and the sun shone brightly in her eyes. Now however, it had grown uncomfortably chilly. She hugged herself, the light jacket and jumpsuit proving to be inadequate for such cool temperatures. Her tools clanked against her hips, the cool metal gave her goosebumps as its frost bleed through the lining of her clothes.

”Blazes Trav, I swear I’m going to kill you for letting this happen!” She kicked a pile of sand that stood in her way, the dust particles blowing up straight back into her face. It seemed some divine being was out to spite her; either that or Trav was behind her this whole time playing one of his dirty tricks on her. To be honest, Travis would’ve been a rather happy addition at this point, no matter how angry she was at him for beating up the ship. She had worked so hard to fix her last time, and it had only taken him a week to get into trouble again. She continued to mutter to herself angrily under her breath, not bothering to pay attention to where she was walking. At this point she was about ready to just fall back and pass out; if not for the terrible cold that ate at her bones. It was then that the toe of her foot got caught on a rock and she was sent flailing about to the ground. Her arms waved wildly in a pinwheel motion as her mind still struggled to register what was happening. She felt her chest hit the hard sand as the air was forced out of her lungs with a loud, ”Ooof!” She thought she heard a splash as well, but it couldn’t be. Her mind had to be playing with her again. She blinked once, twice, and then once more as her vision came into focus. At first she saw Trav dancing in a shallow pool, a toy gun in his hand as he shot water at her. The vision quickly changed as a strange creature stared at her. The creature was round and bulbous, with two small black eyes and a large protruding snout. Two rows of large molar like teeth were visible between its lips and upon its head were two tiny triangular ears. Its skin appeared leathery and smooth, providing a tough armor for its stocky body. The animal cocked its head, its large doe-like eyes staring at her with intense interest. When she didn’t seem to respond, it reared up, two chubby-tree like limbs appearing from beneath the water. It came down with a large splash, the water covering her body and wetting her face. The moisture was welcoming, and the water was actually fresh. She couldn’t help but laugh, this small animal, more than likely an adolescent of its species, had taken pity on her. Her hysterical laughter continued, echoing over the lake for a few moments before she sat up, folding her legs beneath her.

”Thanks little guy… I hope you’re a guy...” She eyed him curiously as if trying to confirm her assessment. Her newfound friend simply stared back for a moment.

”How about Leonidas? I’ll call you Leo…yes you look like a Leo.” she decided thoughtfully. As if understanding what had just occurred, Leo crawled out of the water, using his strong but stubby legs to march him over into her lap.

”Whoa!” she exclaimed as she fell to the ground. He was heavy, around 40 lbs at least by her estimation. Leonidas continued his affectionate assault and let out a low bray. It was an interesting mix between a “moo” and a “rawr” that Aderis really couldn’t explain. She noted the way his head nodded in the direction of the lake. Aderis looked up, taking his cue and was amazed to see a large estate lit up on the other side of the water. Her eyes nearly watered as she quickly wrapped her arms about Leo in a hug. She didn’t care how wet or foreign he felt. This little animal had saved her life!

”Thank you so much Leo! You don’t know how much you’ve helped me. Sir, Leonidas, you are very kingly indeed.” She didn’t care if he couldn’t understand her words, she said it anyhow. With a great effort, she managed to lift him up out of her lap, finding herself panting heavily afterwards. It seemed Aderis had gotten out of shape despite the heavy lifting her job required. She stood to her feet and started walking towards the building in the distance. As she walked she looked behind her. Leonidas followed behind in a trotting gait. His body rolled as he walked and he held his head with pride.

”I don’t think you should follow! Won’t your mommy miss you?” she argued. Leonidas roared in response. Aderis jumped back, surprised by the power coming from the little aquatic bovine. The sound sent tremors through her body in wave after wave.

”Okay! Okay! You can come, but promise me you’ll behave okay?” Leonidas seemed pleased with this and resumed his place, this time beside her as they continued on to their destination. Addy mused about the look on Trav’s face when he saw Leonidas.
’Oh this will be priceless’ she grinned. Revenge was oh so sweet.
As she entered the large establishment she was greeted by a large lizard like creature. The creature stood on two hind legs, and had two small forelimbs which it held folded together in its three fingered hands. She noticed that the host was rather surprised by Leonidas.

”I’m sorry Miss, but we cannot allow any mini-hipps into the establishment. They will eat all of the food in the feast. You are welcome of course, but I must request that he stay outside.” Aderis looked down at Leonidas the “mini-hipp” and noticed his forlorn stare. She couldn’t leave him out here. She sighed and prepared to plead.

”I can assure you, that we will not cause any trouble. Please allow him to accompany me, he gets rather unruly when separated from me.” She recalled the incident moments before. The host seemed rather conflicted and he turned to another of his kind that stood beside them. They caucused briefly before she received her answer.

”You may both enter, but you must be on your best behavior for the feast. We will be watching you.” She bowed gratefully as the doors were opened. She found herself in a large room with wooden décor and food throughout. There were long tables lined up with festive centerpieces that adorned the tables and a stage stood at the center of the room. She took a moment to take in the sight. Trav and the ship could wait, she had a feast before her, and she deserved a free meal after all of that walking. Leonidas hugged close to her as she slowly stepped throughout the room. She saw a male in the corner of the room with one of the lizard creatures. He seemed to have a photographing device of sorts and was posing rather interestingly… She grinned. Aderis was missing some fun in her life, so she decided to approach him. Maybe he had some information about what was going on, especially since he appeared to be a human. Leonidas followed loyally and she stopped a few feet before the boy. He was so enraptured by this device. Maybe he had a vanity complex? ’ Just like someone else I know..’ she rolled her eyes. Just then Leonidas trotted up and nudged the boy in the leg as if trying to get his attention.

”Leo! Stop it!” she scolded. She hoped the boy wouldn’t mind. At least now she could introduce herself.

”I’m terribly sorry about Leonidas,” she began, as she spoke the mini-hipp retreated back to her side where he sat peacefully, “I’m Aderis by the way. Do you happen to know the occasion for this feast? Or anything about where we are for this matter?”

A strange sensation trickled down Sang Ki's ankle. At first he thought it was merely the lizardman's tail accidentally brushing up against his leg, but the texture felt too different to be that of a creature with scales. At this rate Sang Ki became freaked out. He was on a different planet, with different life forms and creatures inhabiting it. Who knew what this thing was. It could have been a blood sucking "Leg Humper" for all he knew. Trying not to freak out like a little school girl, Sang Ki slowly bowed his head down, observing the creature that was nudging his leg.

"OMG, It's adorable!!!"

With super human strength Sang Ki swiftly pushed his little lizard companion to the side as he knelt down to pet the unfamiliar creature. Sang Ki was a sucker for anything "baby" like, especially baby animals. Although the creature was something he had never seen before, it resembled that of a baby hippo. Suddenly a female voice could be heard that caught Sang Ki by surprise. He quickly looked up to see that the female was talking to him. He quickly stood up as he blankly stared at her for a few seconds.

”I’m terribly sorry about Leonidas,”

The boy just lightly chuckled, taking no offense of what her little Leo had just done to him.
"Oh, no it's ok, no problem at all."

The girl then went on and introduced herself, making Sang Ki a little relieved that he was finally meeting someone at this school...or so he thought she was from Ria.
"Nice to meet you Aderis! I'm Sang Ki!"
Shortly after introducing himself he lightly bowed towards. With that she asked him a question that Sang Ki wasn't sure how to answer.
"Errr, to be honest....I'm not really sure myself. I'm actually a new student here at Ria High, and by new, I MEAN new."
Sang Ki slightly turned to his left, looking around at the festivities at hand.
"Well it is the holidays, so my guess is that we are having some sort of inter-planet celebration."
Sang Ki then sighed a bit, feeling a bit tired from this heavier gravity.
"Planet Kasyune sure is something. Who knew a bunch of lizard people would be this cool!'

Sang Ki smiled towards Aderis, trying to brighten up his tired mood. It wasn't till now that it had finally hit him. Why was she asking all these questions if she was a student from Ria? I mean, she could have simply ignored the pamphlets that were handed out, but they did specifically state that they were heading towards Kasyune and they were going to have a feast. Sang Ki then gave out a confused look, putting his cell phone up to his chin as if he was pondering like the great detective Sherlock Holmes. He then squinted his eyes in great suspicion as he pointed his cell phone at Aderis.

"Wait a minute...Are you from Ria?"

Austin had been there for about 30 minutes now, and he knew it would be rude to smoke indoors; but he didn't care anymore.
He took a long drag of his Marlboro no.27 contently, ashing into a flower vase casually.
He wondered where Sukai was? She was probably getting nice and clean.
Austin didn't have any clue as to what women actually did to prepare for a date, but from all the jokes, he gleamed that they probably applied some lotion, make-up, did a whole bleach process for their teeth..
At least, that was the farthest thrown idea Austin could come up with.
He took another drag, and ashed again.
After changing his clothes, Austin was now wearing a red robe, and a black 'Metallica' T-shirt which was apparently very old by it's fade.
Austin took a final drag of his cigarette and dropped the but into the flower pot.
He was wearing the same jeans, but he had on some black sandals.

She had been running LATE!! So late in fact that she had a lot of problems trying to find the banquet hall. Sukai was doing her girl thing that she had lost track of time and now was 30 minutes late. 'Way to make a good impression of yourself' scolded in her head.
Just a while ago she had been primping herself for her date. Doing her normal skin routine, applying on some make up which consisted of a mix of red, brown, and a little black, to give her eyes a darker autumn look, black eye liner, and mascara. She had finished off her lips with a light reddish pink lip color. She had let her hair down as usual and spiked the ends with a little wax. She put on her black, no sleeve dress, that was short cut ending right above her knees, the top and sides of the dress were made of see through lace while the area around her breasts, middle of her stomach, and the skirt part were all made of a lovely smooth black fabric, the dress itself clung to her body showing off her shapely figure. She had ditched the poncho and decided to add on a pair of fishnets and black stilettos. Sukai finished off the entire outfit with two red hair pins crossed in her hair, a dark red choker made of a single strand of ribbon around her neck, and a black ribbon bracelet on her right wrist.
She had never been late before, so this was definitely a first. That was so bad on her record. The clicking of her heels as she trended fast was heard very lightly through the hall.
Finally, just as Austin put out his cigarette but and discarded it, she had walked in looking a little wavered at how big the palace actually was. When she finally reached Austin she stopped a little ways infront of him and smiled gently.
"Sorry, for being late..."she apologized quietly with a little embarrassment in her voice for being late as her left hand clutched her right wrist.

"I hope you weren't waiting long."
