Awhile ago there was a guest on the Daily Show who said that if people want honest unbiased news, they should watch the Daily Show and The Colbert Report. It seems pretty crazy but could it be true? Stewart doesn't seem to care who he makes fun of. If they deserve it, they get it. Colbert's character sides with people and "indirectly" shows how ridiculous they are. So the best news source is two comedians? Is Jon Stewart the most trusted man in America?Think the Quibbler in The Order of the Pheonix.

It's good news. If not for being unbiased, for being able to keep me awake through it all.

It actually is fairly biased towards the Democrats, but it is harmless bias. News wise I wouldn't call it a good source because it is fairly opinionated.

I get my news from the z!CB and my parents. If something huge happens, one or the other will be talking about it at some point. I figure that's all I need to know. xD

Well, I think the Daily Show is biased, but I still love it. I don't take everything they say at face value-- they're comedians, after all. When it comes to news, I normally watch HN, Headline News. They are fairly unbiased.

Both shows have an obvious democrat/liberal bias, but they'll still make fun of anyone who does/says something stupid.
Not a good source for reliable news, but a good way to get a basic sense of current events and get interested in them enough to watch the real news.

Or, perhaps they just make fun of the people who do stupid things. And republican/conservative people do so far more often.......

A good source is a bad way to put it. Their agenda is to entertain, not inform. They inform you so that they can make the punchline, and it is quite a gem of a comedy show because who cannot relate to current events that were just explained to them? It is true that the news is extremely biased from all ends of the spectrum. Still, even though this show has no agenda to push, they still are not actually informing you. Reliable does not mean simply unbiased. Reliable needs to give enough information to understand what is going on, which the two shows, while hilarious, cannot provide.
Colbert is a riot, however.
