Jenni - Why are people intentionally cruel....?
Kevin - I dunno, my theory is that they lack the mental capacity to be anything else, but that's not a very good theory.
Jenni - That would make it so that they "didn't mean it" so therefore the word "Intentional" would be pointless.
Personally....I think people hurt people because they need to know they have the power to manipulate someone else's emotions. The fact that they can do so, means they actually mean something to the other person even if it is just "Hate." Hurting someone you love is like a "f-you" to them and a lot of people do so as a defense mechanism, and it tells them if someone truly cares or if they don't by how much pain that can be inflicted without them backing down and giving up. But what some people don't realize and what ends up to be their own downfall is that everyone has a breaking point. Some reach it and still fight, but everyone gives up if they're abused enough...and when the person who cared the most gives up the person who intentionally did the abusing thinks that they never cared enough in the first place and so therefore hurts worse...so they hurt everyone else worse.
That's what I've observed...dunno if it's right or not.
Kevin - It's more than I have observed, but I try to distance myself from people that do that kinda s**t.
Jenni - I have a tendency to try to 'save' people like that. Show them some one cares. Everyone deserves love, even a Sociopath. -Shrugs-
To be honest there's a story that goes with the whole sociopath thing....It's a short story by Laurell K. Hamilton. The worst sociopaths are the ones that have no love. They're the most broken and ruthless. The ones who are the "Perfect in society" people, blend easier and are a little more controlled, because they want to be loved and destroy at the same time. If you think about it...the definition of a Psychopath is a person without conscience...Sociopaths aren't really psychopaths...though they may seem to have no conscience...I think they have a mite of one because they ones who are cared for do their best NOT to get caught. They know right from wrong....they just don't really care. I dunno I could be wrong and could have just undid my own assumption...O.o Arguing with myself is fun.
I have an interest in psychology and sociology...which go hand in hand....>>; I love knowing why people do what they do and what makes people think the things they do. I also love the fact that what people consider consequences in life are so apparently not...considering the domino effect...which I've discussed with you before.

Tim - Because people must constantly compete on some level.
Teara - Intentionally? Jealousy, maybe.
(OTHER KEVIN I KNOW) Kevin - Um... o.o
I dunno. There're multiple possibilities. Makes themselves feel better, makes them feel superior, they just don't like the person, their jealous, they don't know anything else... *shrugs*
(What do you guys think?)
