This piece is pretty cool, for a 40$ distortion pedal.

Touching From a Distance

The Model:
DOD Attacker FX54
This thing gives me what i want with a strat, and that's all I asked of it.
It gives a really good tone, and it doesn't have too much distortion, but not too little, either. This thing is great for playing 90's type stuff.
That's my review, i guess.
Thought you might like to know

I don't think I've ever used distortion pedals. closest thing would be a muff I think.

I actually only like really cheap dist. pedals.
Honestly, i don't want to sound like an a*****e playing metal.
And this dist pedal does that for me.

nah I didn't take it that way at all. I was just saying I usually like the sound of an amp more than a pedal. I like overdrives though. I haven't found a distortion pedal I really liked. the rat was close.

Ugh dude, The rat sucks. I don't know how people like those things.

Now that I think of it, I've never used a distortion pedal either, just fuzz.

The only reason anyone should have a distortion pedal, is if the natural distortion from the gain channel in their amp sucks so bad you need an alternative. That is unless you are using a very old school and you need a pedal to kick it up a notch (still shouldn't be using distortion though).

That being said, I do love me some fuzz, but that's not something an amp can replicate on its own (unless its ******** broken).

I rocked out a Boss Metal Zone pedel for years, mostly due to the fact that it was given to me and I'm a poor man. So glad those days are over... *hugs his B52 AT 212*

Hahaha I beg to differ. I fry my amp so hard, and then turn all my EQ settings up to 12 and i get fuzz out the a**. It's a glorious thing. My tubes are biased hot and they already have such a low power rating that these things drive instantly. ******** headroom.

I've never used a pedal either, I'm so old skool that way. cool Actually, I wouldn't mind a multi-fx thing and a decent wah, though. I'm pretty happy with the sound my Valve King puts out at the mo.

I like to use different pedals for different songs, though.
and segways into songs.
And, there is nothing better than fuzz. Agreed.
