But I've always wondered why it was called bleach. Does it mean anything special that I don't know about? o-o Cuhs I have my own hunches on why it's titled so xD

I read the manga so I've read the author's (Tite Kubo's) notes.He says that he named it bleach as in cleansing.for what do you do when you put bleach on something?It is cleansed.Bleach uses the word Kon-so alot.Kon-so means cleansing.When the first book was finished he decided to call it bleach................But yea,pretty much says awsome to me.

me too! Now,whenever i hear someone talking about a kind of bleach,or when i read a bottle with bleach on it,I think about the anime.I think the Arrccan(Forgot how to spell it!XP) bleached their clothes.

when i first saw BLEACH and looked at the cover i thought at first What the Fxxx
but then i thought it was because hey bleached his hair and dyed it orange or something like that hahaha!

The title of the anime kinda made me go 'wtf' at first too.
I mean honestly....what are you gunna think when you open up the TV to see an anime (it's not usually on) that shares a name with something used in some laundry detergent? xD

I was a little dubious about getting into bleach to start off with. The original animation and the colours I didn't like on the opening credits, so the title had nothing to do with my perception of the anime.
So I'd have been with the author in terms of Detergent or germ killer >.<
