heart hope that school/work is coming along great for all of you. another year of JROTC for some of you, enjoy this time for it's a time that you'll look back on in the years to come, the class in itself will teach self discipline, leadership and team work.............

.....and personal finance. In my school, you have totake a semester of personal finance, but it's incorporated with the JROTC program here, so it's awesome!
And we also learn patience. It takes our SAI a month to pick out who is the battalion commander, as well as the other officers and commanders.

Wow... the officers in my unit were picked by the senior cadets after something that would be the Equivalent of OCS, or 'officer candidate school'.
I went through it... trust me... it works! o.o
My SNSI firmly believed that the unit should be run by the cadets, so the cadet chain of command organized all the events, decided which drill meets to go to, prepared for the AMI, and everything else in between. Our instructors merely taught the lessons and handled the paperwork that we gave them. (for things like approval or specific instructions from the Navy, etc.)
I even had command of my own class and led them through whatever the NSI or SNSI wanted us to do for the day. I really enjoyed that. College is fun and all, but i still miss my NJROTC days... T^T
