Nope.
Shodo has rankings. If you're actually in a school.
It follows a similar one to the martial arts levels I've been told.
You start at 'kyuu' and work yourself until 'shodan' or new rank.
And from there, you can progress until 'hachi dan.'

But you have to fit into a level. My school follows the Japanese system, so I had to change levels in April. So at the moment I am in adult rankings.

So is the difference between shodo and shouji, rankings? I'm trying to figure it out. I've never heard of this stuff before.
