Prolouge: A different occurrence
Ran and Shinichi walked slowly away from the mystery coaster. Shinichi hung his head low(he's not a person who cries) after hearing a depressing (to him anyways) deduction from Ran. Ran pulled him into a hug, in hopes to calm him down. Ran then noticed the strange guys in black from the roller coaster.

“Hey, Shin-chan! I'll catch up with you in a minute,” called Ran as she ran away from Shinichi.

He tried to follow her, but he tripped over his shoelaces.

'Why do I get the feeling I'll never see Ran again?'wondered Shinichi

Ran peered past the wall to see what the guy was doing. She had her attention on the guy(Vodka)
so she didn't notice the other guy(Gin) sneak up behind her and hit her on the back of her head with a base ball bat.
They debated the best way to kill her and finally decided to kill her with a newly developed poison,

“Good night, Tantei-kun,”said Gin, as he and Vodka walked away.

'My skins on fire. My heart. Gonna explode.' Ran thought until she drifted away to unconsciousness.
