Yeah, he's cut off, but he hasn't completely fallen yet. So like, his grace is still there and his wings and he's still a magical creature and whatnot. xD (Is it wrong to refer to angel power as magic? >.>)
As for the 5 things the cult can't kill, I was stuck on the horseman too! Because, that would make sense. But then it was bothering me that it meant...it could kill God. xD Because I was like "Well, maybe Lucy means it can't kill any angel, not just not him specifically." And then I realized...God isn't an angel. D: So. xD I was like "What the ********. That'd be six things. Even if it was God and Lucifer that it couldn't kill, it'd be SIX. Damn you horsemen. D:
It's when I finally dropped the Horsemen thing I thought "Ooh...:O" Cause I don't know much about the bible, but I'm pretty sure there's four archangels and then God. And if they're heaven's deadliest weapon, and then you have...God. xD I think that they would kinda be something beyond whatever the power of the cult is.
But I don't know! xD It's a guess. I still think it'd make perfect sense if it couldn't kill the Four Horsemen. xD Them and Lucy? The evillest things there are - that...sucks. XD
Misha IS brilliant and Kripke is AMAZING. And Castiel is a clever, clearly angry ball of fluff. <3
And guh, it was sooooo sad. - But you're right. xD With the 2 minute commercial and then randomly, 30 seconds of ...what? xD I was like "Uh. It should've just stopped back there. >.<"
But if I look at from a fade out point of view...I can see it being a good ending. XD Damn commercials. D:
FAMINE. SOUNDED FUNNY. XD Srsly. xD I'm excited for that guy.

JO! I'm so sorry I ever said I wanted you dead. ;~; I gained so much respect for her in this episode... like, DAMN! Girl changed a lot since we last saw her.
Call me a horrible person, but even though I BAWLED when Jo and Ellen died, I was slightly relieved. For a split second, I thought they were going to kill off Cas, and that the 17 episode thing was a fluke, and they decided to get rid of him at the last second. Paranoia is setting in. Lol.
Crowley was hawesome, seriously. I LOVE THAT ACTOR. Mmm. Gives me the chills.
Total rotten luck though. OUT OF 5?! Darn. How did they get rid of the other Horsemen again? I already forgot! I should re-watch the episodes over the time-period-that-can-not-be-named.
I was so happy to see Cas FINALLY start to warm up to Sam a bit. Standing next to him in the photo, and then promising to protect him from Lucy... I am hopefully and optimistically sensing some bonding~ And also, some brotherly bonding.
Lastly, Ellen shall rest forever in my memory as the person who GOT CAS TO TAKE PART IN A DRINKING GAME. I don't think even Dean has gotten him to drink that much before. Kudos and RIP!

Oh my God, my thoughts exactly. I liked Jo at first, then it just went eh.
I know what you mean, I was thinking that. But I wasn't relieved. I was too broken up into teeny tiny pieces!
Crowley was just... Oh man, words can't describe how much I loved him.
If I remember correctly, they got rid of his shiny ring. *childish giggles* He wasn't technically dead.
Yeah, I think Cas and Sam are going to start getting closer now. They probably won't be BFF's but I see them being at least pals.
Nope, Ellen definitely won for that. And oh my God, "I think I'm starting to feel something" will go down in history with "The voice says I'm almost out of minutes" as some of the greatest Cas lines ever. Deadpan FTW.

I love Cas so much. He's growing on me every episode he's in. I thought I was gonna die of laughter when he said that after he drank those shots lol.
Yeah, I really really liked Jo when she first was on there but then when she didn't show up for like two seaons I was like "oh well, that was fun I guess." and then when she showed up at the begining of the season I was like, "Srsly? that's it? okaaaaay."
But It was really sad to watch her and Ellen die. Ellen is the (wo)man! haha if you get what I mean. Really wish she could have somehow got saved.
When Bobby couldn't get ahold of them on the cell phone, I srsly thought it was gonna hope in his van and go down there, he had that face like he did before he drove to see that manwitch. So I was relieved when Dean got the radio to work.
Because if it came down to Bobby or Ellen....sorry Ellen but I would want Bobby to live, not just because he's awesome, but more so for Sam and Deans sake.
And YES, I really like this Crowley character. Hopefully he'll stand with Sam and Dean (near or at) the end and help take ol' Lucy down.
Wouldn't be awesome if the very last episode, the demons help Sam and Dean beat Lucy, and then they're friends for like five minutes and then they all stare at each and Dean is smiling and then he says: "you all can have a five minute head start before Sam and me come hunt your asses."
And they all laugh and then the demons scatter and Sam and Dean look at Bobby and they're like, "So....got any cases?"
ahh...that's how I want it to go down.

I spent hours compiling my thoughts and reactions to this episode that it got too big to post here. Instead for those who are interested: here analyze minute details within the story including some speculation and here I fangirl flail uncontrollably (with pictures!). : D

From the first moment they showed Crowley on the show I was in love and so hope that he pops up again before the season ends. heart
I so thought is was funny when Ellen was trying to out drink Castiel, come on he is an angel which means alchol is not going to effect him the same as her. blaugh
I don't understand why the reapers helped Lucfier get Castiel traped. They I thought were suppose to be neutral like switzerland where they don't take sides. Very confused about all that. sweatdrop
Why did Jo and Ellen have to die, there are like no Hunters left now. At least thats the way it seems. Sense it's like the end of the world kind of fight going on should all the Hunters be getting together as big group of good against evil.
OH!!!! WTF! Why didn't the colt work on Lucfier I thought it could kill anything and yet it didn't work. So I guess that only thing that can kill him now is another Angel. scream
So happy when Castiel finally got out of the ring of fire but he didn't get out in time to stop Lucfier. But I guess I should have know that nothing was going to stop Death from resurfacing. So can't wait to see what he looks like.
Ok, I understand that Boby was upset that Jo and Ellen died but why did he burn the picture? crying

Right I've just rewatched this episode and - yes, I cried again but with no tears, if that makes sense? - anywho, something has just become very obvious to me and has kinda ruined it a bit for me.
Jared overacts. I'm not saying he's bad, not by any means but he might want to tone it down a little. Like at the beginning when Crowley's henchdemon has caught him, he's struggling to the point it looks a little silly. Then towards the end where there's him conversing with Lucifer, he's all crazy eyes and suchlike. It's a little too OTT and I found it pretty distracting.
I'd like to point out, I'm not having a go at him here, I just think he was a little off his game in the episode.
Also, picture burning at the end of the episode? I think it was their way of having the hunter's funeral for the girls. They were all gathered around the fire, silently contemplating, y'know? So I think it was done as a mark of respect.
And Cas... oh God, Cas. His performance was even better this time around. ♥ And I still want more Crowley in my life. And I so did not buy Good Omens yesterday because of this...

xD Maybe it's because I'm someone who tends to over-react, but I don't really feel like he does. I get the feeling that it's just the way Sam is now, if that makes sense? A drastic change from his behavior before, created by being under so much stress and no longer really knowing what to do and what's right. He feels like he HAS to end this, he HAS to stop this from happening because he blames himself, and everyone is just reinforcing that blame. `Ya know that feeling when you're stressed out, tired, hurting and you really really feel like you have no choice but do something because you just have to? Even the slightest roadbump or interference can feel like, for lack of a better term, the end of the world.
Sometimes, I feel like Jensen's acting is so subtle, that I can't quite pick up on what Dean's thinking, I just guess. I agree, Jared can sometimes take it overboard, but I also find Sam to generally easier to read as a character, at least for me. Which is probably why people think Sam is "emo"- It's just easier to pick up his internal strife than it is to read into Dean's.

That's the wonderful difference between Sam and Dean. Always has been (it's how I've always seen it at least...xD)
Sam's more emotional (emo? what? lawl. whatever) outwardly. Very open. I mean, he'd fight with John, he left when something bothered him. He just kinda says and shows what's on his mind. That's why Dean was always saying things like "...No chick flick moments." to him. xD
Dean on the other hand, has always bottled up his emotions. We LOVE when he does his manly one tear not JUST because it's hilariously amazing, but because it's Dean feeeeeling. (well, that's why I like it. I think it's adorable. <3) He plays tough guy, no matter what the situation, and especially so the more upsetting things get or stressed he is.
Which is why I've probably thought he's seemed like a dumb jerk lately. razz
And why Vee's been thinking Sam's being a freak. xD
That's just who they are, and with the apocalypse of all things goin' down, that's showing more and more and it''s making things...kind of awkward.
I've actually been REALLY frustrated with the lack of emotion. Like. I know it's not going to be all...season four (though, dear god, I miss the Cas & Dean stuff. With slash goggles OFF, I miss it so much. It was some of the best s**t ever to walk the show. I was like "LOOK, DEAN IS FEELING THINGS. ALL CAS DOES IS STARE INTO HIS SOOOUL.")
But. Eh. D: Sam stands around making pouty b***h faces (not that I blame him, people keep reminding him he let out Lucy xD). Castiel ALMOST seems to be used as comic relief now. Which is weird, because they used him for all the most serious, evolving Dean moments last season...D: And Dean's just acting like more of a ******** than usual.
I can understand, considering the...Dean bottles it up more the worse it gets. Sam is totally transparent, and Cas is not some powerful angel, he's getting weaker and having to deal with humans more so he's confused and stuff.
But guh. D: Those three have hardly had a single drama-moment that made me flail in sad in forever, and GENERALLY, I prefer lighthearted things, and for Supernatural, it never bothered me.
But there was a day when Sam and Dean eventually got around to freaking out at each other about their problems and having to open up or break s**t or something. And Cas and Dean had weird moments that made people slightly uncomfortable because Dean looked uncomfortable because who wants and angel staring you down with all that pure good wanting to understand thing.
It's the apocalypse, and though I LOVE most of the episodes so far - even this one was not nearly dramatic enough for me. It dark. Yeah, I'll give it that. But it felt empty compared to episodes in season four.
And WOW, that was random of me. razz I was just agreeing and throwing in a middle for you two, and then I started RANTING. I didn't even know I was upset about any of that. razz
I like character drama a lot. When I don't see a lot of the characters feeling, then I get kinda "But I want that. D:".
I guess I can say...I liked this one, but for me, they seem to have grown...well, like, maybe 1 or 2 layered, since episode 4.

Well said, Teeks. <3
The differences between the way the characters express their emotions really does bring them to life in my eyes, it gives them a sense of individuality that some shows lack.
Sam is the type of person who wears his heart on his sleeve, he's often doubtful of his place in the world and struggles because of his hyper-awareness of the shades of gray. He sort of feels like he can't really do anything right, because, truthfully, he's made a ton of bad choices over the last few seasons, even when he was trying to do the right thing.
I think Dean is a little bit in denial in this season, his sense of white and black have been thrown and he's still trying to cling to what's left of it, still trying to hold himself together when pretty much everyone else can see that he's not the same. He's the only person who expects himself to be unaffected.
To me, Cas' search for God has always seemed like a way to earn back his favor again, if that is understandable. Like, he's obviously learning more about humans and that seems to make him want to fight harder, but at the same time, I think he misses being an Angel- that really came through to me in 5.10.

I think I expressed myself badly there.
It was just this episode where his reactions seemed a little over the top at points for the situations they were in, almost comical. But it might just have been the fact someone needed to take my fury for the death of my girls!

Sorry to barge in at all on this love-fest (and well-spent, ladies), but I have a serious question for you folks concerning this episode.
Did anyone else feel a little odd about that group shot the gang took right before they go off to confront Lucy? I mean, we might be able to chalk it off to Bobby's bad aim, but there isn't even any commentary or consideration for the fact that about a third of the photo is left to empty space.
What do you guys think about it? Bobby's blunder? Room left for those souls who didn't make it? Other suggestions?

o: Interesting point. Knowing Kripke... Well, not knowing Kripke, I have no clue if it is or not. He's evil like that. I suspect it's just one of those little details made to make things seem believable. There isn't supposed to be someone behind the camera, and though I would bet there probably was someone there, it has to seem like he used the timer......? Maybe?
I honestly don't know. xD But you're amazing for catching that, I totally didn't even pause. (Well, I did, but only to admire what a nice looking group they were~)
