LOG 4
His eyes were looking past her, toward her sister…Arwen woke up in a cold sweat again. This was getting ridiculous. Why did her heart have to race? Why did she wake up to this dream now after all these years?
Getting out of her bed, she wandered outside and into the night air. Her mind kept dwelling on things she didn’t want to think about. She kept seeing his face….his eyes, but never looking at her.
She heard soft footsteps behind her and without turning, she knew who it was. “Why can’t you leave me alone?”
“I don’t know what you mean.” Yongnian stepped out of the shadows.

Yongnian looked at her keenly, “You’re irrational.”
“No,” her voice was low. “It’s the truth.”
“It doesn’t have to be.” He placed his hooves gently on her shoulders.
A confusion filled Arwen as she looked up into his earnest face. “What do you want from me?” Her voice was more a plea than a question.
“Let me see the real you.” Yongnian looked into her eyes, touched her skin waiting to feel connections streaming out toward people-for his power to work. But her links, her path remained completely blank to him.
Arwen looked up at him as she began to tremble. Her whole mind reeled as she thought of what he could mean. But something more than trust was filling her, something she’d only felt once before…
