"No, elephants eat plants, greenstuff." An amused reasurring 'purr', the big cat version anyway, started in his throat. "Mooska wouldn't dream of hurting a cub."
The tan male looked around, seeking the rest of the elephant herd. Not all of them were so welcoming to preditors but the pale grey 'gal was a friend of his. And coming towards them slowly, calling out his actual name and still waving that trunk of hers. Made him smile that - imagine having such a weird nose!
"Muroki!"

*Tu stepped forward carefully, her neck craned upwards at Mooska's magnificent freatures. Though her knees felt slightly weak, she tried not to be frightened- Mawa had promised her this elephant was kind and did not eat little cubs.
Mooska called an unfamiliar name- Tu looked around in confusion, wondering who the elephant could be talking to. She was walking right up to them and there wasn't anybody else around... The cub glanced at Mawa, ears raising in question.*
Mawa is having two names?

"Mawali is my father's name...I'm just Muroki-" Of Mawali and Kwaheri, Dawnwalker Rogue, he mentally added; his title as it were. How to explain, shopuld she ask why he'd lied? "- to tell the truth."

"You look well, cat. Not your daughter, is she, this young lady you've got with you?" Mooska beamed at the pair. The tan male blinked and shook his head, but before he could properly answer, seh was speaking again, adressing Tu directly. "No? Well, you're a pretty one, that's for sure. I'm Mooska, what's your name?"

*Clear blue eyes studied the tan lion for a moment, something flashing in them that might have been hurt... But then the cub turned away, looking up at the friendly elephant.*
Tu is pretty?
*The cub seemed skeptical- no one had ever told her so before, and her brown coat was much in contrast to the beautiful whites and blacks of most of the other Graveyarders.*
Tu is Tu.
*She answered, somewhat shyly, though her twitched behind her in barely contained excitement.*

"Yes, Tu is pretty." Mooska had to try not to chuckle at this. By her standard, large and grey were beautiful, but for a cat...the cub looked well enough for a lion, she supposed.
Muroki studied his paws - he didn't mean to lie so much to people, or be so untrusting at first. It was just his way. The elephant just smiled, commenting on the weather - 'how hot it's been of late'.
