Kurgalfberg is the home to the pirate legion Dark Rain, formed in the Core by several rogue smugglers. Dark Rain grew quickly, recruiting young pilots, much like a gang would. The leaders of Dark Rain discovered this abandoned mining facility and refurbished it to serve as their main pirate base.
