Hey im thinkin about leveling my mage but i could use some tips. She is level 25 horde side, and i have the BoA shoulders and robe and im frost spec. What i want to know is, what is really the best way to level a mage, because so far its takes so many frostbolts to kill just 1 person, and i get screwed over when i get double teamed. So, any suggestions?

There is really no right way to level a mage. Frost is best for killing MANY things at once. Fire is best for killing things wuickly.

Trust me i kno mages and the most effective way to lvl them is respec fire youll blow up everything really quick and run instances all the time i kno questing is cough* fun... but instance running gets you the gear and a ton of xp so dont get runs get a group or join a guild that progresses together and lvl with them i did it on my rogue, we all started out at lvl 20ish a few 19-25s but we just ran instances like 10 times a day and we lvld so fast, anyway id recamend that

I personally think the best way for leveling is to AOE pull as frost mage, i dont know if its the "fastest" but when i think of the "best" way to level i include fun factor.

I find Having alotta mana and balanced health, a good starter, The above is correct, but if you have alotta mana, you can save yourself by using your mana shield (Dont know the name of it right now) but AOE pull, then just bomb blizzard, and if you have a sick amount of mana for your level drop a flamestrike and then the blizzard. and if your on single enemies i find using frost bolt to slow them then just use your wand

wands are for looks and being out of mana. Have leveled 2 mages to 80 now ive gotten the technique refined. Frost frost frost. Fire sure it dumps a ton of damage but when that first mob you hit pulls the one standing next to it you'll wish for imp Blizzard instead. If at lvl 40 that idea might go towards duel speccing frost and fire. Running instances as fire and solo as frost. But were I to have it my way I would still be raiding a straight frost.

I had LOADS of fun leveling a mage as fire. You die a lot until you get used to it, but once you do and get enough SP, stuff dies before it touches you.

level fire for solo questing, its ez-mode. go ice if you like to mass aoe, or want to solo most instances your level, frost is also good for group quests to solo, such as 2-3 man's. arcane is 100% pure f*cking awesome ownage but to level is pretty damn bad till 60 at least, abarr is good, but it'll drain your mana. go with fire up until 70 or so, then try out arcane, amazing burst and if used right can be used to destroy group quests. ~~ when you level make sure to spec into mana regen abilities, such as the 30% mana giveback with fire, ect.
