I have worked so hard and long to be photo editor for an entire year learning from Marty. Now he is graduating and suddenly they are thinking of merging photo desk and graphic desk and giving it to Sara and making me the assistant. She is a better graphics artist than I am but I am a better photographer with a better camera who has been there way longer. She hasn't shot five total sporting events since she joined us; I have shot more sports than she has game. I gave my summer up for the insert we are sending to contest. I did the Blake Shelton concert. I don't want to be mean because Sara is my friend but she doesn't have the experience necessary to lead the photo desk.She is graduating this next semester and it would look good on her application to say she held two editor positions but... it would break my heart to not get this. I like our new EIC and I am not going to walk away from the G news over this with her at the helm but if she gives it to Sara I am completely unsure how I will get home because I know I will break down to the point where I won't be able to drive the fourty five minutes it takes me to get home.
