I kept the skin for various reasons. Like someone else said, I'm proud to have been a supporter of B.O.O. and proud of everyone who will keep their gift. So the most reason was that...
I admit, I like the little wing things...
And I also agree with the people who said they didn't like the potato skin. I don't like it because I thought it was a little mocking, and the fact that it's crying and bald.
I'm also scared to play around with my avi and not save it too...

It makes me laugh.
I'm surprised, actually, to see that so many reasons are because of the eyes. Man, Gaia made such a pretty thing. I can't believe they had the heart to trash it. confused

I love BOO and my skin, that's why I kept it. And I also DESPISE the Potatoverseer.
I'm definitely terrified of my Equip Avi page now. I make sure I'm careful when I buy things, so that I don't lose my skin. I'm so scared of it that I'm afraid to go to it on my Secondary account, which isn't wearing either side's skin. :/

It was hard for me to decide... i wanted to pick "all of the above"... i love the eyes, the skin, the "wingalings", i wanted boo to win, i hate the potato skin, i guess a little of elitism... everything.

I would say its mostly for the elitism factor.
I was on Gaia for the Grombie event, and to my eternal chagrin I didn't put in quite enough time to get the first Skin stage. I wish I had!!
The first halloween event that used the Vampire skin - I kept my skin for months, thinking one day it might be at least slightly esteemed (I know it would never reach grombie status), but eventually they started selling it in Skin Tyte and all my months of skinny legs were for naught. But at least I could CHANGE my avatar then.
With this skin, I predict it will go fairly elite, fairly fast, for the simple fact that people don't want to be stuck with one avatar. Already there's probably only a few thousand accounts still using the skin, and that number WILL dwindle very fast, especially if a future event calls for a new skin.
EDIT: I also become VERY attached to any group on Gaia I support. For example, I kept a picture of myself wearing my Gambino team t-shirt in my signature for probably a year after the event. I STILL consider myself Team Gambino, but now I have loyalty to Boo as well. You can bet I'm playing B.O.O. at christmas!

Well, I kept it because this is the first original AVI I had made in a while; but then after the skins got deleted I realized that no one could ever make an avatar like this ever again, so I feel like I should keep it.
Before I was an albino mouse, I wore a lot of the angelic stuff like the staff, seals, angelic lace, cloud, etc, etc and everyone kind of wears that you know; now I know I'm completely original.
