No one can prove that its real, well not at the moment at least
the followers of the Nevarien religion(my faith) believe that the first empress's spirit is re-incarnated into the hieress of the throne when the current empress dies
but my religion states that everyone is reincarnated over and over again until they can pass the tests and the judgment by the gods and godess, if you do pass both then you can join youre anscestors in there starhearth
if you are reincarnated, the second a child leaves its mothers body when its born, a spirt rushes into the child, since before that, the child was nothing but an empty vessle on the occasion you can rember thigns from previous lives but not much and its going to be fuzzy
The buddhist or hindu religion (or both im not sure) believe in reincarnation to, in fact there are many religions and cultures that hold beliefs in reincarnation

there's no way to prove reincarnation. There's no way to test it. And if someone claims they are reincarnated and can actually remember their past life (that's the kicker there is that people don't remember it if they are), then how do we know they're not making something up for attention or psychotic? At this point, I wouldn't be willing to say it is or isn't.
I personally don't think its likely, it is possible... but I don't know exactly where I stand on the existence of a "soul" so I don't know.

Here's my story:
A close friend of mine passed away in a car accident on December 2007. When I went to visit his family, what I heard from them gave me goose bumps. His parents were saying they should never have named him after his uncle (who died in a car accident before my friend was born). According to them, both my friend and his late uncle died on the same month and at almost the exact same age (26). A lot of us who heard this story are wondering if it's all just a crazy coincidence or if my friend was really the reincarnation of his late uncle. neutral

eincarnation does not have to do with that reincarnation is the rebirth of a living thinking beings soul into a new body what youre saying is just coincidence, since even if lets say someone was named after hitler and hitler was reincarnated into them, it does not mean there going to be another crazy physco path

i've tried to believe it, and i kind of do. i heard that the birthmark theory is an indication of how you died in your previous life if it was untimely (in that case, someone explain the wierd one on the location where your thigh meets your pubic bone), and any outstanding fears that have always been there and can't be explained in this life (like, it's natural to be afraid of dogs if you've been attacked viciously by one) it's a really intersting concept.

Well, I believe in something similar to it. I believe that when you die, the energy in your body is reused by other things/people. (Since energy can neither be created nor destroyed.)

I follow the pagan beliefs, which are a lot like my friend's Native American beliefs. I personally believe in reincarnation. In my experience, not many people who claim to have been reincarnated are lying. There are way too many times when I've seen them - my friends - do things they should not be able to do. I've had that happen to me, too. Far too many of my dreams have a memory-like quality to them, of places I've never been and people I've never met. It's an odd thing, to see memories that couldn't possibly be yours, even when you somehow know that they are your memories. Besides, how else can I explain ranting at my sister for twenty minutes in Greek, and my brother in Korean, when I can't speak a word of either language?
But that's just my own personal experience.
