I don't about the rest of you but where I'm from. I hear people always saying how you will never see a Black person killing tons of people, make bombs, or become serial killers like white people. However, just now the DC sniper was excuted for his crimes either today or yesterday. ( Story 1 and we have this clown a rapist and serial killer in Ohio IMO it clearly shows what I been saying these things happen however they just don't get a lot of new coverage. Since usually it is Black on Black crime. I'm pretty sure they have had Black kids shoot up a school probably even before Columbine. We probably have had Black criminals that ate people, and all the other sick twisted things that people usually associate with "crazy a** white folks. " To me a mentally insane person is a person. Race, class, creed, sexuality none of that really matters. Anyone can be a killer, a rapist, or what have you in our society. I think it's kind of dumb to assume that it's a racial thing. Thoughts?

I basically agree with everything you just said. I never knew people stereotyped crimes by race, gender or anything. I knew police fasley accused but I never knew this was a stereotyped thing. (I'm learning alot this year).

i co-sign on this. i remember one of my family members hearing about some mass shooting + saying that no black person would do that. but why would lighter tint of someone's skin tone would greater the chances of them taking a gun + blowing holes in everying swaying thing in sight?
if you stick anybody in an struggling situation, two things will happen. either the person will win over the conflict, or fall + cumble + let the misery drive your future actions. no race factor involved at all. i just depends on the mental, physical (hmmm, i wonder how that would come into play), + emotional condition of the person i believe.
anyone can be an angel; at the same, anyone can bring up hell. its all in that switch in our heads that nests our point of view + how we look at the world. classic glass half full/glass half empty...
ohjeez. sorry, my mind got distracted. i just got a craving for a shushie from quiktrip. sweatdrop

Serial killers are statistically white males from the ~25 to 39 (don't quote me on the ages, sociology was a loooong time ago). Personally, I'm glad the black serial killers don't get as much coverage as the white ones because black people don't need yet another stereotype shoved on us. There, I said it and I'm NOT sorry.

Here let me sum it up by race: Blacks are usually drug dealing, car stealing, robbers who so use their "blackness" to do better. I mean we do kind of have AA and free money for college what we have to steal for? Mexicans (cause you know we don't have any other Latin countries) are usually also car stealing drug dealer or here illegal. (Even if they aren't Mexican) Middle Easterns are now all terrorist so whatever crime they do it has to related to minor terrorism no matter how minor. (I just read a scholarly journal that really open my eyes. I wish I could share the link but it locked in the college system for four years) Asian: They all small time Tirade or Yakuza members (even if they aren't Korean or Japanese) They are either setting up illegal gambling rings, selling thing off the Black market, and/or hacking into stuff. (See how all those are intellect based crimes?) Whereas white usually do stupid s**t like lie about inside trading or steal millions of dollars from company. Or you know kidnapped blonde haired blue eye girls from their homes in the middle of the night. Then of course there's the red-neck crimes like riding on bald tires or moving your trailer in the middle of the road.

I understand the history (or mis-history) behind it. As Black weren't given the right to own guns for a VERY long time. Even after slavery we did not have the right to own guns. For fear we might kill white folks by the ten folds. I think in some rural areas this is still in affect though highly illegal of course. Thus this is why some Black folks have this mind-set. However, they don't understand that Black folks are just as crazy as white folks. Granted that their genes are our genes (assuming that they are Black-American who family been through slavery) So if this a cultural thing we have same madness as white folk. If anything Blacks are just as violent as white. However due to Jim Crow and slavery we been forced not to show too much aggression. (Doesn't mean we don't have it) So it's not shocking to me to hear about Black serial killers, rapist, or hell even terrorist. It's simply human nature to have some insanity.

On the record sure. However I had to point out here on the ED the under-reporting that on Black on Black crimes. Which this clearly is. See all other serial killers have been white on white crimes. The Summer of Sam, Ted Bundy, Charles Mason, all were white dudes killing white people. Of course those are going to be news worthy. White people don't kill white people! However let's not try to hide the fact that Black kids don't kill each other like these white people. Or what we don't have gangs like the Bloods and Cribs? I see no difference in a gang member and a serial killers as many gang members are Serial killers.

I always thoguht Gangs weren't considered organized crimes because they are not business supported. Though gangs may have big business distribute to them they are not supported by them. Theyonly deal with people in their group and they are basically just doing it in their area. As of mobs are like everybody is involved from the smallest barber to the biggest boss man is all involved in this thing. Thats why it's called an organized crime.
But there are different types of mobs from the african mobs to the russian mobs.
Wow I still cant believe people are stereotyping crimes and mental craziness though.

Blacks are the only ones with stuff like Sickle cell. We also get don't get skin cancer as much as white if ever. Our society is whack you know.

At least you know how messed up our world is. *hugs* Try not to allow it to bother you too much. When I heard about mental illnesses and how they tied into race relations I had the same emotion.
