Everyone plays an instrument but what if you can only play a few songs? So come here and request some new songs to shake up your music. Just say what type of music your looking for and the level of music. Whether your a beginner or you have been playing forever. Come in and request away or recommend to your hearts content.

A few Notes
-Anyone is welcome to recommend
-Its ok to disagree with someones recommendation just don't be ugly about it.
-Its ok to recommend music to everyone in general just don't go overboard with it.
-Don't recommend the same thing to every one. A beginner won't be able to play something written for an expert.
- Any suggestions for this thread is welcome!!!

Hi, so I play trap set and I'm looking for some really cool rock beats that aren't too hard, but not too easy.

What key a violin in? I'm a librarin for a wind ensemble and I can probably transpose some of our christmas music for you. We have a lot of little, short, easy peices.

For something VERY beginner look for "One A Penny" For a step up look for "Shortnin' Bread" Those were the two first songs I learned to play. (I haven't played them in so long I'm not sure I could play them right away anymore. Lol) I haven't learned any Xmas songs so far but when I do I'll let you know about some recommendations.

Have you tried listening to songs and trying to find the chords? I find it fun. ^_^

A lot of Josh Groban books are easish. I like them because I know the tune really well. The right hand is all melody and the left hand has mostly long chords.

I REGRET quitting percussion for piano and violin. I can't play violin this year because it was full. But I'm playing piano next semester. I really loved playing percussion. TT^TT

Violin is in C, like the flute, and they read treble clef. whee

All string instruments are in C, actually, it's just that not all of them happen to use the same clefs.

Oh don't feel bad!!! At least everyone won't turn around and stare at you when you mess up... That's the downside to percussion at our school....
