Paradise couldn't help but coo over his baby, still terrified of the fact that he was going to be leaving the child only the next day. He kissed his baby on the forehead and sighed to himself, listening with only half an ear until Matthew seemed to be having trouble speaking, at which point his dual-coloured eyes raised back up and he blinked slowly.
"Odd?" he questioned in what was almost a whisper because of the sleeping child in his arms. When Matthew leaned in, he instinctively leaned back before correcting his strange movement, turning his head to the side to listen to what it was the detective had to say. His eyebrows furrowed in thought and he pulled back, wings fluttering in gentle concern. He glanced back down at Echo, then at Matthew, nodding his assurance to look into the problem. "I'll make sure to have Peony look into that." He gave a soft smile; as far as he was aware, Matthew didn't know of his departure. He balanced Echo up on one shoulder and held out a hand to shake. "It was nice meeting you, Matthew. I hope we have a chance to cross paths again one day."
