 Raize wasn't sure what possessed him to make this journey - he was typically quite happy in his solitary life on the beach. He was in fact beginning to second guess himself when he caught sight of the golden Jala he'd been tracking.
"Well there's no going back now" He told himself as he padded closer - he'd come far to far to simply turn back now. He could only hope that the golden and purple Jala had noticed the same connection hed felt between them.

 Etain kept looking behind her now and again as she walked - she couldn't shake the feeling that something had been following her ever since she'd landed in the D'ob. shuffling her wings a little she paused as she caught sight of a flash of red.
Red? interesting as far as she knew - she didn't know anything red, well there had been that intriguing Canis back at the beach but he couldn't have come this far from what he's said was his home base. Could he? Her steps stowed until she finally paused all together, head turned back to peer behind her curiously.

Raize was pretty happy when the golden Jala finally decided to actually stop - he'd pushed himself hard and quickly yo follow her this far and to be honest his paws were hurting and his throat was dry. What had seemed like a happy lark at the time - had turned into a long and arduous journey for the little canis.
This was not helping his mood any, Raize was not generally the most pleasant of his species - indeed his fellows tended to call him surly most of the time. He tried to perk himself up a bit before revealing himself to the Nequus though - no one wanted a bedraggled, cranky canis following them about. Pausing in a bush Raize took a few moments to smooth his ruffled fur before stepping out and greeting the Nequus.
"...Hello?" Okay well that was kinda lame - but Raize had never done this before - how was he supposed to know how to go about this?

Etain was thinking she must have been mistaken, as the area behind her seemed devoid of any movement. Must have imagined it - the golden Jala thought to herself after a few moments and had actually turned about and taken a few steps, when another rustle behind her made her stop.
Turning about Etain blinked a few times - it was the Canis from the beach - and by the looks of him he'd been moving pretty quickly to what..catch up with her? But if he hadn't then why else would he approach her? Poor thing seemed a bit nervous and despite her desire to hurry and find her siblings again Etain couldn't bring herself to take off on something so tired looking.
"Hello again...have you come all the way from the beach?"

Raize was about to call out to the Jala as she started walking off again, Drek! He'd waited to long to reveal himself and felt sure that the winged creature would take to the air and leave him behind one more. Raize wasn't sure if he could find the mare again - once had been hard enough but thankfully she'd had a few other run-in's along the way and he'd been able to disconcern the general direction she had been heading. And of course once she landed tracking her by scent had been easy enough for the Canis.
thankfully the mare must have taken notice of him behind her because she turned about and though she looked startled to see him - she didn't rush off again either. Raize choose to take that as a good sign.
"I..well, yes I suppose I had" The Canis stated hesitantly "I though..perhaps you would like more help in searching for your father? and maybe afterwards...in tracking that beast Eacles"

Etain waited patiently for the Canis' reply, it seemed as though he wasn't sure how to approach her, or perhaps that he wasn't sure exactly how to tell her what he wanted. When he finally did come up ith somehing to say it sound plausible enough but Etain had the inkling that the Canis ment something more - and to be honest she'd considered going back to speak to him again once all this was done. Perhaps he had felt the same connection?
The Jala didn't want to push the Canis however - he looked about ready to fall over and more stress surely wouldn't help him any. Pondering his requests for a few moments Etain couldn't really come up with a reason not to have the Canis come along - and furthermore she didn't really want to.
"More help would be more then welcome..." And she hesitated, she couldn't quite recall if the Canis had given her his name or not "I'm sorry I can't recall you name.."

Raize wasn't sure at first if the mare was going to agree, he was getting somewhat worried as she just stood there staring at him for a few moments with a far away look on her face. He couldn't help the surge of happiness however when she agreed to accept his offered help, the news perked up the tired Canis a great deal - he even found the energy to wag his tails a few times. He couldn't even find t in himself to be saddened when she couldn't recall his name - they had only met once before after all.
"Raize" He supplied with a doggy grin on his furry face "My name is Raize..do you have any further news on your father?"

Etain sighed slightly as the Canis reminded her of the reason they had meet in the first place - She supposed that was at least one good thing that had come from her run-in with Eacles...now why had she thought that so soon, she'd only just met this Canis!..and yet Etain couldn't help but feel fervently glad that she had.
"I'm afraid not" She told him after a slight pause "I am supposed to be on my way to met my siblings - maybe they will have had better luck" She continued in a hopeful voice. Although Etain couldn't help but feel that there was a slim chance in this, it wasa big world after all - there was no telling here a Nequus could hide if they really wanted to.

Raize felt a little bad after asking his question the look on Etain's face was enough to let him know that her search wasn't going well. that was too bad - Raize had half hoped to catch up to the Jala and find things had worked out well for her, then they could have moved right along to finding Eacles - something which Raize was greatly looking forward too.
"I'm sorry to hear that" he told her sincerely "But as you said - perhaps your sibling have had better luck" He tried to boost her spirits a little bit. "we should probably get going if you don't want to miss them"

Etain looked at teh Canis with a critical eye - the poor creature didn't look like he could walk another mile - let alone run to the shrines. Casting her mind about for a suitable way to break this too him Etain finally settled on one he thought would work - or at least not hurt Raize' feelings
.
"Yes - I expect I should, but I haven't finished searching this part of the Valley quite yet, I was going to rest and then continue on tomorrow..but now that you are here perhaps you can rest and search while I run on and meet With them?" she asked him with a hopeful look on her face and then added quickly so he wouldn't think she was just trying to get rid of him "and afterwards we can meet up again here."

Raize cringed slightly when Etain looked at him so..he knew quite well that he wasn't at this best at the moment, the journey had been long and he'd barely taken the time to rest. It wasn't like he could fly like the Nequus could.
The small Canis was fairly certain that Etain was going to turn him away - but she surprised him with her answer, she even seemed hopeful..or glad that he was there to help - and of course he would see to the task she asked of him. Raize was secretly glad he had been assigned this task as it meant he could take some time to rest a bit before meeting up with Etain again.
"Of course I can continue looking here" He assured her.

Etain was very glad that Raize agreed to her plan - she was even happier still that he didn't seem to notice her words had been a lie for the most part - sure it would be good to have someone look some moe in the valley - and she as of course grateful for that, but she was pretty sure he wouldn't find anything - the valley had been scoured pretty thoroughly already - she'd mostly just wanted him to have the chance to rest.
"Very good then the meeting shouldn't last very long - I don't expect I will be gone for more then a few days."

Raize bobbed his head a little in acknowledgement of her words - a few days to check the immediate area and rest sounded pretty good to him, and it would be nice to be doing something useful for a change rather then wandering pointlessly about his little ravine back at the beach. Though he had to admit he thought he might eventually miss his home there - he would have to make sure he went back once in a while to visit it.
"I'll be waiting' He assured her with another wag of his tail "And I'll leave no stone unturned in my search" He promised.

Etain nodded and smiled - she was feeling quite pleased with herself over this little ruse - but was glad to know the beast would indeed be waiting for her hen she returned although she couldn't figure out why exactly quite yet. She had heard of other Nequus creating bonds with other creatures - and wondered briefly if thats what as happening between the two of them.
No time to ponder that no however - she really did have to hurry "I'll see you soon then" She promised Raize before turning and with a few quick steps launching herself into the air.

Raize watched as the Jala mare took flight before turning and bounding off into the grass himself - his first priority was to find a nice safe spot to take a decent nap, after that a meal..and then he'd do what he'd promised and help Etain in her search. He rather hoped he would have good news for her hen she returned - but considering how many places he's already look Raize was pretty sure that was a hollow hope.
