I have an aluminum iMac, a Macbook and an HP Mini. I prefer my macs. They're more user-friendly, they cause me less trouble than XP, they never ever freeze, expose is a dream come true, Windows is frustrating after using Macs.

bikutsi I use both as each has it's pros & cons. On XP now. Mac's are better for Digital Imaging/Digital art, in my opinion. Yeah I'd prefer Macs for that much. Just seems what they're inclined to. I rather have my XP laptop for work. Oh I do. Yays. rofl

Reynard Lothar BRING BACK DOSBOX!!!!! MONOCHROME FTW! I love DosBox <3 Also, Macs are very nice, very user friendly, work lovely and, although a tad expensive, I'm all for them. Especially when it comes to design, imaging and the likes. Except I like to play my games :> so I vote PC. Vista is just pure frustration and mothering, but I'd like to give Windows 7 a go biggrin I'm fond of XP though.

I vote linux simply because it's versatile and useful. However, I do understand that Macs cater to most user's needs relative to productivity and PCs in the matter of gaming. It's all a matter of what do you do with your computer. Personally, I program, so *nix is heaven.

I can use Mac OS 9, Mac OS X, Win XP, and Ubuntu. I'm quite partial to Win XP and Ubuntu. OS X is pretty but there's issues I have with it concerning software. Mac OS 9 I still think is neat but it is so out dated. At least SheepShaver will let me play with the few OS 9 programs I do fool around with.

I used to have a pc and it lasted about 4 years then hard drive went out. Switched to a Mac and I am mixed about how i like it.
It is easy to navigate...sometimes. I have a hard time uploading files to the internet because not many sites support mac. Because of that, it won't let me view a lot of pics online.
It is super fast and has fun applications to play with. But that is not really a sustitute for accessibility to the web. I have a deviantart account and it is a b*tch to try and upload my art.
On a scale from 1 to 10, I would give it a six. Maybe if I had someone in my pocket to give me constant tech support, it would be a ten. sad

MAC PERSON
Alright. So you spend $700 altogether on a new Dell laptop and Windows 7. Windows crashes the hard drive within the year and you spend another $700 on another laptop and Windows 7 again... that's $1400
Believe me, Windows will crash your machine in at most two years. I've learned from experience.
Whereas a Mac may be $1000 but it lasts at least five years (again I know from experience).
Would you rather spend $700 now, but end up with a total of $1400 later, or pay $1000 now and nothing else?? Hmm?

I have Vista, I just got it this spring. I wish I had know 7 was comming out cause I would have waited, but Vista is working good for me.
I do not like Mac because of the way they have their comercials. Like someone else said, very pompous. And I have a hard time getting around on a Mac. I can do it, but I love my Windows.

VISTAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!! gonk stressed *shakes fist* Curse you, Vista! The first Vista, anyway. I am sooo glad I have XP.
Though I wish that Windows would just stand up for itself more on commercial warfront. I love Windows, but it's just idiocy to deny that Mac is pwning in the commercials.

I prefer PC because of larger program compatibility. Also the mouse for Mac Computers deeply angers me.

I'm a mac person. Who accidentally clicked pc in the poll . . . . .
Which is actually part of the reason I'm a mac person. I do a lot of clicking without thinking, and there's only so much trouble that can get you into on a mac. PC? Different story. I once deleted mouse controls and the internet from my computer. No idea how.
Also, Macs have a much more secure operating system than pcs. There aren't a whole lot of viruses that can damage a mac, but there are billions that can damage a pc.
I also really enjoy iMovie and iDVD.
And probably the biggest thing I like about my macbook is the magnetic power cord. I trip on cords a lot, and it's really nice to have my power cord pop harmlessly out of my computer rather than have the entire laptop go crashing to the floor.
