I have a cold, which always makes things worse.
And every time I sneeze, I think of this conversation I had with my friend when I was just starting to get a tickle in the back of my throat; and when she asked what was wrong I didn't want to go into details about everything else and said I was starting to get a cold and was trying not to get all the way to sick. She told me to cheer up, if it had gotten me down it was on it's way out. Completely missing what I had actually said. So, I sneeze and I want to punt a friend with good intentions.
Today I found out that the coping mechanism to make me appear less retarded (meditating before and after stress so that I am gathered and in control when it happens), makes me giggle and sound even more retarded (I am using the literal, not the vernacular), and I have done this in earshot of just about everyone I know. For the majority of my life. And no one has ever told me I make noise.
I have no idea what I am doing making this dress, but everyone's all "Oh you'll do great you don't need a pattern" and not helping me at all.
And, of course, the only man I've ever loved is marrying a cocker spaniel.
The next person who tells me to cheer up is getting a proctology exam from Dr. Boot.

You have every right to be upset, Kitty. If you need to rant more, you an hit me up later. Whatever. I'll always listen. I probably won't have any good advice but, at least you can get it out of your system if its still bothering you.

It's going to be bothering me for years. The problem has existed for years.
This isn't the sort of thing that just goes away.
Even if in a year or two some miraculous solution I can't foresee occurs, I will never forget what it was like to go through this.
