Okay people. I know I haven't been on for a while but I thought that fellow Australians need to know about this event as there are so few here.
As it says in the topic title... YES!!!! there is an event to get Arceus in Australia and unlike it's American counterpart. I believe this one is country wide. The Arceus in question is the same as that given in America and will unlock extra content in Platinum and the upcoming titles Pokemon HeartGold and Pokemon SoulSilver.
To acquire this ever so elusive Pokemon Aussies will need three things....
1) A DSi or DSLite Console...
2) A copy of Diamond/Pearl/Platinum... (You may take all three if you feel so inclined...)
3) Access to the Department store K-mart...
Now all you need to do is get you bums over to your nearest K-mart store with DS and game Cartridge and head straight for the Electronic Entertainment Section....
Do not PASS GO... Do Not Collect 200 Dollars... -_-;;;
Access your mystery gift and choose the wireless option and wait for the magic to happen and viola you now have your Arceus.
A passing note for people who read this far though...
1) The signals for the event are weak so you need to physically be in the shop to do it. If you can't find the signal ask someone who works there and they will direct you to the hotspot.
2) You might be asked to disclose how many times you have downloaded the event... I believe this is a survey to gauge interest in future events so you better not stuff it up of else they might not have future ones... Just tell them to honest truth and be done with it.
I'm thinking about making future posts related to Australian events like this in the future so if you think this has been helpful in anyway please don't hesitate to say so and if I get a positive feedback, I may be persuaded to do similar things for future Australian Poke Events...

Haha, I just went to K-Mart today! I got one on Platinum and Diamond. I haven't checked the IV's or anything yet. But I'm soo glad they had another event! It's soo rare.

K-Mart still exists somewhere in the world, and they hold pokemon events???!!!!!! eek
Sorry, just I haven't seen a K-Mart in ages since the ones near my home closed.

I didn't know K-Mart existed outside of Australia so I guess we were both clueless...
Actually I chanced upon this event by accident but I don't care now seeing as how I'm the proud owner of two brand spanking Arceus'!!
ha life is so looking up.

Hmm... maybe you should try and see if they are holding the event as well...?
I only know that the Australian branch of K-Mart is doing this promotion but if it turns out America is doing it as well then I kinda understand how we got the event in the first place.

No the event started on the 5th.... at least that's what it said on the catalog they had around the shops. I think they wanted to start it a day earlier then America rather then two days...
In case you where also wondering Australian time is approximately a day ahead of America... that being said... although I it says I wrote this at 5pm on November sixth... I've actually written this at 12:43pm on the 7th of November.

This turned out to be a confusing conversation... I barely get what's going on! Anyway, I'm rather proud of this pokemon, but I would have prefered it if it wasn't lvl 100... I wanna EV train it. But I'm not disapointed. I got 2 arcueses

I have two Arceus's as well and they're both on my Platinum and Diamond games!! I was tempted to buy Pearl right then and there at the store seeing as how they had the price reduced but I decided against it... I might have gotten a third Arceus but it just seemed like over kill to me. I mean there are only two new games that will need the pokemon to unlock it's secret content right...? it's not like having multiple Event Arceus' in HeartGold or SoulSilver is going to let me have all three of the Sinnoh God pokemon... If I'm not mistaken it only works once and once only...
But I'm rambling and I have no clue if anyone else even understands what I'm talking about..... lol

No, no, I understand... I think, lol. But if you bought Pearl there, you would have to do so much, like get Jubilife city to get mystery gift to work, right? If I'm not mistaken, to get into the TV station, you need to beat the gym leader, Roark, I think. Hehe, that would take a while, and to do that all in K-Mart.

Doesn't really matter to me though... I could waste some time at the shops rather them staying at home all day and playing Ragnarok.... I like the game but sometimes it gets to be such a chore when I'm trying to level up...

Heck yea it is cause Toys 'r us is awesome razz Well the game area is. We had Darkrai in Toys 'R' Us in Australia... You could also get Darkrai from Target a while ago. We also had the Rotom Key in Toy'R'Us. The cool thing was, you didn't need to go into to the shops !
