Coroner's Report Deceased: Axel Watson Subject was found dead at the dock of Westminister Harbor, apparently from an attack by a large aquatic creature. The creature itself, a rather distorted saltwater bass, is also deceased, presumably from being out of water. Subject was presumably swimming, or leaning over the edge of the dock at the time of the attack. The creature seems to have leaped out of the waters to feed; an occasional occurence for a passing shark and a basking Pelican. Research has demonstrated however, of an attack similar in nature occurring a little over 3 years before. As such, this situation has been classified as a freak accident, and requires no further inquiry from the marine institue. However, though we as of yet have not been able to pry the body away from the fish, we were able to dissect a portion of the abdominal section. Inside we found clumps of hair and an aged human finger. Small amounts of garbage including gauze, hypodermic needles, and other medical wastes suggests the organism had been dwelling in the areas between the harbor and St. Mary's Hospital approximately 3 and 1/4 miles away. The area around these locations has been quarantined, and aqueous recreation has been prohibited until the region can be throroughly searched for other potentially dangerous organisms. Subject had on his person a small journal recording a few events leading up to the incident.

Monday, Week 1, Day 1 Hello journal. As you and I both know I'm writing in you to take notes of my trip for class. That rat Dr. Tompkins doesn't trust me or to remember or somthing. It's still a good idea. I mean, you and I both know that I like to wait until the last minute to write a report. It's better that way. Anyway, I'm on the plane right now. (Attendant lady is pretty cute too.) We'll hit ground in about 4 hours. I think I'll just sleep today. I've got a full schedule for the week anyway. Tomorrow I go to the university. It'll be nice to get the boring lecture series done this week so I can party the next. I think for my marine study rotation I've gotta go by the aquarium, the Marine institute, and drop by the closest harbor to get some actual samples. That'll be fun. Mucking around in fish crap for a day, looking for 'environmental pollutants.' They should've just let me write a BS report about oil spills and litter, but no, I've actually gotta get proof of it too. Not that anyone really cares. I know I don't. By the time the world gets jacked up and polluted, I'll be dead and buried. Besides, when that happens, people will probably have like, evolved and stuff. That way they can live in all the crap that'll be floating around. Anyway, the in-flight movie is going to start soon. I'll write more tomorrow.
