There was a slight bounce in Thessana's step as she made her way down to street to where she'd parked her car earlier. The dark haired woman paused though on this return trip, turning her head left and up. "You weren't there earlier," she commented almost conversationally to the building before her. Of course things popped up in the time it took to snap all the time, this was Gaia after all. On the other hand in the time she'd been on this planet Thessana had yet to pay particular notice to any of the new appearances other than to vaguely notice their addition to the area. This place though, this library, it might as well have been decked out in flashing neon signs and had pictures of naked woman on it.

With a slight shrug she figured it couldn't hurt to investigate the place if briefly. Well that was a lie it might be possible pain could await her inside but it was unlikely and it wasn't as if anything in there would kill her, could kill her. Cocksure attitude at the the ready Thessana grabbed the handle of the main door and pulled it open to let herself in. Hopefully this little detour was worth the time it was going to take. Though if nothing else she could pick up some recipe books, they probably had rather interesting ones in here.

It was yet another average day, consisting of nothing spectacular except for the fact that everyday took place in a rather out of the ordinary library. A man lay on top a book shelf of the grand library on the first floor, keeping a rather mediocre watch on the place, setting aside his usual business of putting books back and entertaining the children that roamed about. None of them were particularly active at this time, the lot seemed to be taking naps and the rest were off with their families. Not to mention, he wasn't put in charge of taking care of some troublesome child that belonged to a troublesome man named Altar who visited more often than he really should.

He was a rather young looking man, who seemed to be about his mid-twenties with long dark hair that tickled the dark skin on his neck. His orange eyes glowed just as the tips of his fingers did as he drew pictures in the air before him with seemingly nothing, but wherever his finger had been, the place seemed to illuminate, as if he were setting air particles alight.

Just as he was about to finish his intricate drawing of a peony, he heard a clicking sound of the door opening and he sat up, passing through the drawing that evaporated into clouds and then nothingness. He looked towards the doors and saw a woman peeked in curiously. He watched for a moment as she entered in before hopping off the bookshelf, being careful not to let it shake. He landed on the ground with a sound and made his way over to the front.

"May I help you?"

Thessana was almost disappointed that her wine red eyes saw nothing of interest right away. Her lover might be thrilled that she was jumping headlong into trouble but for Thessana it was a let down. At the very least she'd hoped for the place to have a sort of dark or mystical air much like the aura of it that had lured her inside. A vast cavernous space filled with rows of bookshelves was well.. just a library.

Maybe she'd been imagining things before, looking for something of interest when there was nothing there at all. The young looking woman hated to think she was becoming senile already.

She twirled a finger around a stray strand of hair while nodding in the direction of the dark haired young man who'd approached. "Can you tell me if there's anything unique about this library and also if you have a recipe book section?" Two birds with one stone and Thessana's usual bluntness got the job done. Patience and pussyfooting aroudn things had never been her strong points, that was her partners department.

Rayne looked rather blankly at the young woman who came outright with her question. Well, she certainly wasn't one to beat around the bush. Whatever, not like it would harm anyone anyways. No big deal.

He snorted and smirked in mild amusement as his golden eyes flickered for a second, quickly looking over her before gesturing at the endless rows of bookshelves behind him. "Well, if you really want to know, which I'm surprised if you can't tell already, this is probably going to be the most unique library you'll ever enter in your life." He said before dropping his hand and crossing his arms over his chest "As you can see, this library is not only large and seemingly endless it holds practically an ecosystem of its own. The first floor is rather normal, the second floor is where things get interesting. keep travelling upwards and deeper in, you'll find rivers, trees and some animals roaming about, but of course, not the book-eating variety. Cooking books are on the third floor, past the small forest of a hallway in the middle, follow the red lanterns on the trees, you'll find them all there. After having standing here for several centuries, the number of trees have multiplied, so make sure not to get lost. Oh, and watch out for the children, they're rather mischievous." He replied in complete honesty.

"The owner of the library, a mysterious and clearly strange young-looking man is out at the moment, but if you need help, I can just show you the way. That is, if you have poor direction sense. But if not, the staircase is that way, don't get lost."

" I'll be fine on my own and thank you" Thessana murmured. Okay great, on the one hand she wasn't going crazy, on the other she'd stumbled into one of one of the more interesting places that took up residence ( at lest sometimes) on Gaia. A Normal person and even some Gaians she knew would have bailed at this point but if there really was a cooking section Thessana saw no reason not too. There ere bound to be unique recipes she could use at the bakery in at least one of the books here. old classics were fine and would sell well but Thessana had wanted to add new treats as well and so she might as well look around.

As she made her way towards the stairs the only thing that concerned the dark haired woman was that her clothes were probbaly going to get wrecked not meant for hiking around in all terrain. Wild animal or child attack was also possibly a danger to them but Thessana was hoping to avoid that. the woman had strong survival instincts and she'd feel bad later about hurting a kid or small creature that was probbaly just playing a game.

Rayne pursed his lips at her before shrugging "Whatever you wish, but try not to get lost. The library sometimes likes to play tricks on newcomers, so be careful. Give a holler if you need help, I can't have the good librarian that owns this library returning with a lost innocent running amok." he said before disappearing in an instant, re-appearing back on the bookshelf he was on "Or I'd get in serious trouble." He grunted to himself as he settled down once more, beginning to draw more intricate pictures in the air.

The days were rather tedious, but maybe it was better that way. He already had plenty excitement with Altar who pulled him into a life-threatening situation, which then followed with an unexpected appearance of a character they never wished to see again. Of course, said person came out as a child and with little to no memories and only animal instincts.

He whistled as he began to draw a bird flying through the air, not noticing the fact that something in the library changed as a book in a shelf shook and shivered.

Oh good gods and goddesses she was not some weak fleshed little thing that would get lost so easily Thessana though. Although she admittedly couldn't do a damn thing if the Library decided to re-arrange itself just to taunt or trap her/ all the good direction sense or memory in the world meant nothing if that happened and Thessana only had one of the previously mentioned two.

The dark haired woman however was soon distracted from her quest for a cookbook but the sound of something rattling on a shelf. Nosier than was good for her she turned to head towards the sound keeping careful watch of where she stepped and her surroundings. Would the source of the sound be one of the animals the attendant had referred to?
