Day 1: 8:00am
Mum woke me up early this morning, i was tired, i didn't want to go to school, but i got up anyway. Our school has uniforms you know. I really don't like them, they make me look pale. I'm blonde, well, more white haired than blonde, mum says it's called being a towhead. Either way, it makes me pretty popular at school! I got that bloody red bow in my hair, mum thinks it's cute, but I don't like it at all.
Got so far as to put on my white underdress too, it's pretty short really. It was then that mum came in, told me school'd been cancelled, can't imagine why but mum looks worried, said that I had to stay home, that we'd lock the doors. I asked her about dad, he'd left earlier I think for work, he usually goes pretty early, mum just sort of went pale and didn't answer my question.
I guess they must've had a tiff or something, that's probably why mum's having us lock the doors. They fight alot you know, i've sort of learned to drown it out y'know?
11:00am
Mum and me had brunch today, can't remember the last time she'd cooked, had pancakes, porridge, the works, quite good really. Dad showed up outside maybe a half an hour ago, been pounding at the door and that, yelling, can't really make it out, sounds sort of muffled though. Then again, the door is pretty thick, mum's pretending to ignore it. Apparently mum tried to go out and talk to dad earlier, guess he hit her or some such, she'd got a nasty bruise over one eye and some scratches on her arm.
I told mum we should get them bandadged, but she looks pretty upset so I don't think I'll push it. Really, this isn't the way i'd prefer spending a holiday from school, but then again, at least i'm not having to do my bloody homework for Mr. Snickerton's math class. He's rather stodgy, that one.
8:00pm Bloody Christ! I can't beleive dad's still out there pounding. Mum's gone and locked herself in her room, guess she's trying not to hear all the racket dad's making. Nearly time to go to bed now. I expect I'll be having another holiday tomorrow. I asked mum earlier why she hadn't called anyone out, y'know, to take care of dad, but she said it was important to keep it in the family and all that. Wish she had though, it's going to be bloody hard to sleep tonight.

Day 2: 8:35am
Woke up a bit late this morning, suprised that Mum didn't come and wake me, guess I am taking another holiday today. Put my uniform on anyway, y'know, just in case mum decides to take me to school anyway. Dad's not outside anymore I don't think. Least ways he's not making any more noise, guess he gave up and went to a hotel. Took me nearly half the night to fall asleep with all the racket. I figure i'll go in an check on mum now just to see how she's doing. She was pretty upset yesterday.
9:15am
Went and checked up on mum, must've caught a flu bug, she's looking a bit pale her bruise is looking pretty nasty, her cuts too. I knew we should've cleaned them yesterday. Now mum'll probably get an infection. Serves her right really, going on like that all day and not taking proper care.
Anyway, I took mum in a big of toast and coffee so hopefully that'll put her right. she had me shut the door when I left, I think she's going to take a bit of a nap. One good thing from all this, I won't be going to school for a few days, mum'll need me to take care of her while she's sick. Mum still doesn't want me going outside anyway, bunch of hooligans or some such in the neighborhood, smash'in windows and the like. Best to stay inside.
5:32pm
Spent most the day watch'n movies while mum napped, it's been pretty quiet now since dad left. I checked in on mum about 15 min ago, she's still sleeping I think, the lights in the room were off and she was being pretty quiet, best to let her rest I think, I'll check back in on her in the morning and see if she's doing all right. Might bring her breakfast again, that seemed to cheer her up a bit, and take some disinfectant to those scratches, they're looking pretty bad.
