3. Be courteous and respectful to everyone here, even people you don’t like. If you don't have anything nice to say to someone, don't talk to them. If they are bothering you or their actions in the thread or a problem, please report them to shop staff.
4. No chat or 733+ speak, please. Being funny is one thing but seriously talking that way is annoying.
5. Please don't sell your kid or attempt to bribe an owner out of their kid. It's rude, dishonest, and unfair to others. If you no longer want your child, please request that it be rehomed or given to a friend.
6. You may poke me about your art, but don't harass me for it. I am not the only artist and I can't control what is or isn't happening in other people's lives. I will ask for updates from the other artists so you can tell where your kid is but please don't expect instantaneous work. We're only human.
7. Please be responsible for your own activity. I'm not your mother and I can't go tracking you down to find out why you haven't been around. The activity rules in this shop are intended to be quite lenient but cooperation is necessary. Remember to read all shop rules before asking questions.
8. Artists and staff may be pmed at their discretion (meaning ask if you can pm them. They will have personal preferences). I personally don't mind pms but others might.
9. DO NOT spam either the shop thread or the staff's pm boxes. It's rude, it's annoying, and it makes it difficult for us to do our jobs as well as having lives. Under this ruling, do not 'bump' or emote spam the main thread. This is not the chatterbox and while the occasional emote post is funny or acceptable, posting nothing but is rude and you will be warned if it happens too many times. If you feel the shop needs more activity, try to start conversation, don't leave us entire pages of meaningless emoticons.
10. Don’t be scared to post. I may bite but I’m friendly and the regs generally are too.
11. That said, don't make the thread an uncomfortable or unpleasant place to be in. Constantly depressing the threadgoers, whining, or being a jerk will result in you being warned several times and possibly even banned if behavior persists.
12. Please do not play kids you do not have in official threads. There will be an OOC rp to test out characters but please do not use your quest kid with someone else's real kid. It screws up canon and makes getting the kid pointless. However, you may test and play your guardian IC with whoever you like, seeing as you aren't required to have a kid to have your character.
13. Use brackets [] or parenthesis () to denote OOC in an RP.
14. Play your own characters. If you don't own a character, I do not want to see you playing them. This goes for kids not for NPCs, I don't care who plays your guardian but your kid should only be played by you. Under this rule as well, don't be on someone else's account when you are doing stuff with your kid. Being on one of your mules is one thing but it is confusing and annoying when everyone is playing musical accounts.

1. Try not to abandon us without notice - if you're going to have a sudden absense, please try to post a hiatus notice or have a friend post one. It's polite and keeps us from having to guess.
2. Don't be afraid that your kid is going to be taken away due to you having to go away. The shop has no metaplot that requires single specific children to decide the fate of the world and there will be no 'one-of-a-kind' children. All children from official or unofficial hiatuses will be
3. That said, don't expect art if you have vanished on us. Even if we owe you art, it's not going to be posted unless you actually have been around and your child isn't hiatused. If there is a growth waiting for you, and you haven't been around, you will be pmed ONCE. Otherwise, it's on your own head.
4. Please post in the thread at least once a week if possible. Just showing up and saying hi to people for a few moments is fine, you need not participate in any in-thread conversation beyond that if you don't want to. It is understandable that some people may be uncomfortable talking to others, and we won't require you to, but letting us know you're still alive is a good thing.
5. Try not to rush requirements then vanish for a few months and expect us to grow your kid. Time requirements on growths are given so the artists have time to catch up on art and so owners are encouraged not to rush. As said previously, if you haven't been around, you aren't getting your growth whether you did the other requirements or not. Reqs are going to be simple so activity is the real key.
