So, I've got an old 9mm handgun called the Astra 600. Silly-looking gun, in my opinion, and I'd much rather have the 400, or an M1911, but what'cha'gonna'do? I didn't buy it, my dad did.
Anyways, I've noticed rattling from it. As in, the slide audibly rattles when you just shake the gun a little bit. Is... this normal? I've heard that rattling is out-of-the ordinary, but more common in really old guns. Other than that... Not much.
So, any of you have anything to say on "rattlers?" Before, ya know, I shoot it and it embeds a slide in my head. xd

If the slide were attached to the rest of weapon in an unstable way and the weapon was firing a suitably high powered round, launching the slide into the face of the shooter could be quite possible. Of course, it probably wouldn't imbead itself in the skull, but it'd give them a pretty good whack upside the head.

Turned out it was shitty metal being used in the slides, but a couple broke in half and damn near killed some SEALs.

That's tragic and unfortunate, yet it'd be amusing to see.

Keep in mind though, this WAS after 100k+ rounds and they remedied the problem quickly by producing the slides IN ITALY, with the rest of the gun.

It didn't get embedded in someone'e head, but it did shoot forward off the gun when my friend fired it. He broke the locking pin xd

You might need a couple new parts, which might be hard to find. I'm thinking recoil spring, and maybe the pin that holds it all together.
