Sei was moving too fast for Caoimhe to read anything on the screen. She trusted him to do the work. He spoke to computers after all. When the rest of the known clues brought up nothing, Caoi frowned. "So, what, one of these people likes music and the other doesn't?" Was Chaos just one person? Or did he have a team? This Riven person should know the answers, shouldn't he? Caoimhe wanted to meet him, but she was fairly certain she might attack him. Attack him, or talk to him. The odds were about 50/50 either way.

Folding her arms across her chest, Caoi furrowed her brow, glancing out to the ocean behind her. Maybe this would be easier to deal with as a seal... she thought quietly. The transforming was coming easier to her now, but it still took several moments of concentration to make it happen. And then there were the accidental transformations -- like when Mrs. Kates dropped a pan on the floor and Caoi jumped so high that she landed as a seal. That had taken a little bit of explaining, but Mrs. Kates was a very understanding woman who knew that Caoi was all kinds of weird.

Picking at the dry skin around her nail, Caoimhe tried her best to be helpful, but thinking wasn't really her style. "Maybe we need... more. Maybe we need to have all the clues from all the Fa'e before we can see the pattern. Do you know how many of us are out there? Or how we can find all of them?" If worse came to worst, Caoi could just walk all over Gaia trying to sense the others, but this seemed like a crappy solution. Crappy, sure, but if there was nothing better, it was exactly what Caoimhe planned to do.

"I have no damn idea." And he was honestly getting a little sick of having no damn idea, really.

Aylana's piece brought many different results, but only the first part, it seemed. He had known it familiar, that first part, but not it's origin. And all the different results... did not help much. Maybe it was some kind of... common thing ?

Damnit.

He did not need to look up Omi's - he just wrote beside her own that it was from Shekspeare's Hamlet.

Seung's brought no straight answer, but it was evident it was about names, so he noted that.

Caoihme's question interrupted his thought process and he paused, focusing on the question rather than the machine in front of him. Was what one to do with such a question ?

Why, count of course.

"I think I've met.... hm... Maybe about... 25 of so ? But I know there's more than that." There were those he had seen but not really noticed, or talked to, and he could not recall them. That would be a little crazy, even for him, to remember every face he had ever seen. "There was some kind of list at the HQ but... Yeah. Pchew'ed." He really, really liked that definition. Thank you Caoihme.

But then... something occurred to him. "...Wait a sec... For your party.... did you send invites to everyone ? Do you think you or your guardian still has that list... ?" It was worth a shot.

(( People have expressed discomfort at the fact that some have said a list of all the Fa'e exists (or existed) at the HQ so I don't want to put people off by saying that Caoi still has the list from her party. I think it makes sense, personally, given how invitations are sent out, but it rubs others the wrong way. So I'm going to say the Caoi lost it to avoid that. Just wanted to explain it to you! <3 ))

Caoimhe had no idea how many Fa'e she had met. A lot, it seemed like. But there weren't many names that came to mind, aside from those who had recently attended her birthday party, and the selkie youth was certain that Sei knew all of those people too, probably better than her. "We sent invites to everyone, yeah," she said, eyes misting over as she traveled back to the time before the party. Things had seemed simpler. Sure, she knew that she was a selkie now. She knew that she was once married to a terrible man. She knew she had children. And, worst of all, she knew that the anger brought on by her selfish actions had cost hundreds of selkies their lives. The thought shamed her, and she blushed, dipping her chin down to her chest. There were still so many holes in her history, so many dips and divots to get lost in -- and Caoimhe wasn't the best navigator.

She exhaled sharply, slapping a hand on her thigh. "I don't know where the list is. I didn't write the addresses because my handwriting is too bad so Mrs. Kates did it," she said, drumming her fingers on her knee. Where had it gone? "I got no idea, Sei. With all the stuff that happened, the list wasn't really a priority for people. We might not have it." And Gristla wasn't home to ask. Caoimhe highly doubted that it had been kept. Mrs. Kates and Gristla had been so upset that they both left their house keys in the rented mansion in their rush to make sense of things. They probably hadn't remembered to save the list with addresses.

Sitting up on the windowsill, Caoi tried to look more determined. "We need to find a Fa'e would knows everybody. The Fa'e who can contact the most people." She nodded matter-of-factly, chewing at the inside of her lip. After a moment, she added, "So who is that?" Caoimhe sure as hell did not know.

...Drat. Yeah, that made sense. He waited for Caoi to answer him, the shape of his face expressing concern even as his eyes remained blank, as if they were made of glass. He did not pry, though. She would speak of it if she wished - he knew for a fact that he rather disliked it when someone trying to pry it out of him when there was something on his mind.

And even with what little he did know, he figured the selkie had probably much on her mind indeed.

"Im not sure either... Ill call you if I find anything, though. Do you have a cellphone ?"

It was probably best if Sei handled most of this, but Caoimhe knew she'd have to do something herself. Perhaps she could seek out Sati? She was old, right? They hadn't exactly hit it off at her party, but Sati had birthed one cool kid in Addie. She could be forgiven, if only for that. Hopping off the windowsill, Caoi made her way next to Sei. "Nah, I don't have one. Mrs. Kates does, my next-door-neighbor. Do I need one?" Technology continued to surprise Caoimhe, and so she hadn't really fully adjusted to the connected web of phones, internet, and satellites.

It would appear she was behind the times.

She rubbed at the back of her neck, contemplating how she might actually get one. She'd never really thought about it, honestly. Dustin had mentioned something about texting other Fa'e too. Hm... it was certainly something to think about. Did they make water proof phones? Caoimhe had a nasty habit of ruining many an electronic device with her watery antics. A cellphone seemed to be asking to destroyed.

"Where are you going to go now?" she said, bobbing on her heels. Caoi was at a loss for what to do. Perhaps Sei's choice of action could give her some kind of tip?

"That might be a good idea." Sei said, as he started to put everything back in his bag. "So you can keep in touch with everyone easily... There." He wrote his own number on the sheet where he had written the clues, and handed it to her. "Keep that... I don't need it. Ill remember just fine."

Her last question was cause for some consideration, though. "Probably check on Zero... Then I might go back to HQ and see if there's anyone around there. I've seen one there already, some more people might go to see what the hell's happened." Aylana... Would she knew alot of other fa'e ? Hmm. "Ill try to see some more of the notes. It's the only lead we really have right now..."

(( The stupid guild glitch popped this up here. This is my response to your last post. x.x ))

Caoimhe plucked the paper from Sei's hand, nodding. "Yeah, I want people to stay in contact," she said, voice hanging low in her throat. Snatching the pen from Sei, Caoi ripped a piece off of the paper he had given her and scribbled a number down. She handed it to him. "That is Mrs. Kates's number. You can call her until I get a phone. Sorry if it's hard to read. My handwriting is no good." The squiggles on the paper looked juvenile, but the number was clear enough to be deciphered.

Raking a hand through her curls, the young selkie let her mind wander to the food in the kitchen. It had been a full fifteen minutes since she had last eaten. It was about time for a snack. "Let me know if you find anything. And, you know, you're always welcome here." Caoimhe hopped to her feet and moved through the doorway, passing back into the kitchen and foyer where they had first spoken. "I'll try to find other Fa'e... and do other stuff too." She nodded as if she had just explained a most brilliant and well-developed plan, a confident grin creeping up the corner of her mouth.

Cracking the door open for Sei, she gestured to the mass amounts of food. "Feel free to take some with you. Who knows? Maybe more people will open up to you if you show up with food." She laughed, and it felt good, the warm rumble filling her chest like a gasp of fresh air.

"I can read it just fine." Sei reassured her with a nod, folding the paper neatly and sliding it into the pocket of his jacket. He followed her, steps resonating heavier than they probably should on the floors, and stopped at the door.

"Keep me in touch, too." He nodded again, and when she mentionned bringing food along, it made him laugh too. If anything, Zero would probably appreciate the gesture.
"That's not a bad idea, you know !"

A few moments later he had a nice little pack of a little bit of everything there, and he finally managed a smile for her. "See ya. Hopefully I was able to help a little bit..."

And with those words, he was out the door.

((And looks like that's it, yes ? x3 Thanks for the rp !))
