"I may need it." The idea that she wasn't alone in this was helping... it wasn't as oppressive a thought as it originally was. "Kaeru's too young to be on his own... and he's about as mature as a ten year old. Omi can't do this on her own, not right now... and there's Kikushou to think about." Raven almost forgot about the girl. Looking up at him, she offered a wry smile. "Still want to be with me if I come with three kids? Someone's going to have to be the parent in there, and I guess it's going to be me."

"Four kids, technically." There was a faint amusement there, though it could not be anything more than faint at the moment, not with the weight of anything else dragging him down. Technically, he was indeed still considered a child, not more than sixteen in appearances, though... inside his mind, it was another story. It had always been. "Ill do my best."

It made her giggle, for likely the first time since this all happened. Leaning against him, Raven just nodded. "We'll manage," she said. "Somehow, we'll manage." It was comforting like this, and she felt her eyes starting to slip closed even though she was still outside. "I know you can't stay much longer... but would you mind staying just a bit longer?"

"Im not going anywhere." He assured her. "Not yet." But she was right. He could not stay for too much longer. He had to figure out if everyone else was alright... And he could not quite allow himself to have a breakdown in front of her. Not right now.
He had to let it out sometime, and the result likely would not be pretty.

"Thank you." Raven was content, at least for the moment. Now, however, she would have to figure out just how to make this work. It was going to be interesting, that much was certain. "I'll keep working with Omi. Maybe we can figure out how to do this bond thing."

"Yeah... She needs to be bonded to someone." Some kind of dread, inside him, still wished it did not have to be her, but... Perhaps it was the best if it worked this way. "Zero told me... that she dreamed, before she met Shina. She dreamed about me. That I was calling to her before I was even born." One lone soul calling for help, swept into war and bloodshed. It was only recently that she had told him what, exactly, she had dreamed of. "Maybe ill't be... similar ? I don't know. Im not very good about those things."

"We'll find out. I dream almost every night, so I'll be able to tell pretty quickly if it's going to happen." Raven was determined in this. There was no way she was going to let her sister just fade away. She'd do everything she could to keep that from happening. "Omi bonded with dad when she was born, so she doesn't remember any of it. I just wish that there was an older Fa'e that could tell me what it was like. Everyone I know of has been with their guardian since they were babies."

"I don't really know anyone that lost their guardian, though... I know it's happened." Or maybe he did, but just couldn't recall at all. It was possible. "If I find someone, though... Ill try to figure it out and ill tell you."

"Do that," Raven said, resting against him with her hand resting on his shoulder. "Because I'm going to need all the help I can get. There's just so much to do..." Still, it would get done. If anything her father had taught her how to be responsible... and how to make sure that things just worked out for the best.
