 Her new found friend darted into the woods, and she followed with a howl and a happy laughter that sounded like bells upon the wind. Her paws took her after him at a high pace, almost as if they weren't touching the grass and trees she lept over to try to catch up to him. Green eyes twinkled with excitement as she slowly caught up to the other one.
Finally, she managed to tug at his tail tip and she pushed herself to go faster beside him, until they were neck and neck. "Caught you! This way!" She said, looking around. She realized where they were and took a slow turn to the left, being careful not to bump into her nameless friend.
As she ran, he would be able to see the muscles in her legs from traveling and paying with her siblings. He would notice her coat was longer, thicker than most in this area because of her mother's genes. She was small for a teenage wolf, but she made up for it in speed and energy. Probably the most energetic out of her and her siblings.
Jayel led her friend to a huge body of water, bigger than a normal lake,b but that's what it was. A human made lake with little irrigation systems spouting out for it. Sure, it might be close to a human settlement, but she liked it here. Trees were cleared, making stumps for her to jump over and on, right into the lake for a nice swim even though it was autumn.

 Craze rushed ahead of her, his voice breaking with laughter as he moved. Oh god if felt nice to run, full out, with someone behind him. That was the real kicker: the cute girl chasing him. His tail flagged out, ears pinned back, a wolfish grin on his maw. "Catch up, catch up!" he barked aloud. He never once paused to realize that he'd never caught her name; Craze didn't pause much, anytime.
There was a tug on his tail and he spun to greet her, jaws snapping in the air around her muzzle, playful, hardly threatening. She barreled ahead and he grinned, following her. He did indeed see those muscles, and the way they stretched and bunched under her thick coat. His own body was tense with muscle, though his pelt was smooth, almost like a dog's, against his skin. There was length to the ruff around his neck, as well as tufts behind his elbows and on his tail. He grinned as a lake came into view. Swimming. He liked this girl already. She was perfect.
He lunged past her, leaping a stump and using it for a push-off as he leaped headfirst into the water. SPLASH! The water was crisp and cold and brought a gasp to his lips. The gasp was followed by a laugh.

The laughter rang in her ears and she realized it was his. Laughing happily, she swam over to him, nipping at his ears and cheek fur before paddling away. There was more to do than swim, but it's what she wanted to do. Jayel couldn't help it, this male? He was great! She could see herself becoming good, close friends with this guy. Maybe they could be fiends if they knew each others names!
"Hey, I'm Jayel! Who're you?" she said, moving closer once more, splashing him with her front paws, hoping to get him in the face. Under water, her orange tipped tail went from side to side, making sure she stayed above the water.

They looked so different; Craze took after his mother in looks, tall and lanky, but their personalities rang on the same chord. He grinned, padding through the water after her, letting her n** at his face goodnaturedly. His tail was splashing to and fro, legs momentarily forgetting to flail and he sunk for a moment before propelling himself back up. "Jayel..." He tried it out, sounding it out. "I like." His green eyes met hers, a rich emerald. "I'm Craze. Mother says I'm a bit hyper..." But he was an angel, no doubt. Look at the ebony wings across his back. He grinned back at her, lopsided.

Craze? That was a wonderful name for a male of his color! She laughed again and splashed water in his direction. Something about this male made her feel so relaxed and at home! She licked water off his muzzle and nose, smirking. Yes, flirting with him. Jayel couldn't help it! Her hormones were kicking in slowly and he was the first nonrelated male she'd seen since she became this way. Do the math!
"Craze is a wonderful name! I really, really think it suits you!" She moved around him in slow circles, examining him carefully. "You're a very pretty color!"

Craze treaded water, watching the blond and brown female with bright eyes. His own coat became waterlogged quickly, making it harder to stay afloat, but as long as he never quit moving, they'd be fine! He beamed at her. "Thanks!" He, of course, was oblivious to the fact that she was flirting. He always had been. He still saw girls as sister-figures or adult girls like his Momma. He didn't seem them as pretty, delicate, feminine little things as of yet. He was still too puppy. "I think it does too." His tongue lolled out of his mouth and he began to swim for the middle of the pond. "Race ya there!"

She blinked when he was oblivious to her flirting and shrugged. Jayel just didn't think she was doing it right. Figuring she'd back off for now, the bi-colored wolfess grinned as her new friend declared a race. "Oh! I'll beat you!" She said as she followed him. Of course, with her fur being heavier than his own, Jayel knew she'd lose this particular race.
