But, maybe... Hanging deaths were quite popular in my town for a while around Dad's, which is really strange seeing our town only has a population of 10k.

Suicides bothers me... Had a distant cousin OD, a family friend who was bipolar go missing for two weeks and he had shot himself on the side of the road in his truck, and although I don't believe this next one to be a suicide a friend of my fiance and her friend were up by the train tracks taking pictures when they were hit. My fiance's friend was found a few feet away from the tracks untouched, the other girl was completely destroyed. My fiance thinks his friend had tried to pull the other girl off the tracks, because that girl was claiming she had recently been raped or something and he believes she was the one who tried to kill herself. Both families don't believe it was suicide because both girls had made plans and seemed fine but the medical examiner refuses to change it to accidental unless they come up with proof. They did a really shitty job of looking into it and just assumed the girls killed themselves because they were kind of gothy. Not sure if you know who Porcupine Tree is but the song way out of here is about my fiance's friend.
Maybe, like I said it could go in any direction. I always get creeped out when people have a bunch of similar suicides around the same time.

Yeah... My dad's death was a part of a suicide wave in our town... it was crazy.

You have just sparked the conspiracy theorist in me. >>
If there's a pattern of constant suicides within a given location, there's a large chance that the deaths are all connected in some way shape or form. like minds, a cult, a secret society, a club. Anything. I don't wanna say your dad killed himself over that kind of thing, but this is the conspiracy theorist coming out of me.
Well, here's what I just thought of though:
Perhaps his eyes are cut out because he died blinded to the truth, or in a figurative way, he doesn't want you to see the truth. He seeks you out to try and tell you something, but is unable to.
I dunno, I just lost it sweatdrop I had it though. This is what happens when I go to write stuff down. Now, if you think it's not really your father, then quite possibly it's a representation of your father, it just doesn't feel familiar because it isn't blatantly your father. I mean, why would some random person who hung themselves try to reveal themselves to you? It just doesn't make sense.
