I just started Fallout3, I need to defuse the atomic bomb that some old coot is worshiping. What do I need to that?
Is it just me or is the idea of worshiping a bomb just all out nuts?!

You need to have an explosives skill of a certain level. Honestly its been so long since I've played FO3 that I don't remember the exact number, but if that kill isn't high enough on its own, take some mentats.

I found a helmet that gave me anough of a boost to disarm it.
The Raider Blastmaster Helmet gives a +5 to Explosives skill.
