I go to karate on Monday nights and Saturday mornings.
In the Sat class there are loads of little kids so we spend alot of time playing games....which in a way really sucks! Oh yeah and the sensei really wears you out................during the warm up!

In the class on Mon, i have three sensei's!! It totally rocks! We go through basics each lesson and practise kata (routines of moves), last week we got to do some self defense, like how to get away from sum1 holding u. And if we only hace one sensei we tend to use a pad to practise strength!

Oh....all u lot went through the whole routine.

Well we start with a bow in. shut our eyes then bow to the founder, sensei, sempei and the other people. Then we warm up, which I usually take. Then we go through basic punches, blocks and kicks.
After that we do some stances and move up and down the room, so we get it dead right. Then we're split into groups, by belt color and go off and do some kata (rountines of moves). Usually by then we run out of time coz its only a hour lesson, so we warm down.....occasionally and bow out.......same as the bow in really. Then the sensei's give out certifcate to new people or people who did really good,, then we bow and leave. We also have to bow b4 we leave the dojo!

The Sat class is the same, we spend less time on basic moves, hardly ever do kata and play more games. I might think about dropping the Sat class coz really it's pointless I think! But then again it gets me another mark on my card so I get to go to gradings quicker!

I go to my classes Mondays, Wensdays and Satudays. Most lessons are between and hour and a half to two ours. On the weekdays, I practice with the adult colour belts and on Sat. I train with the junior black belts.

In both classes we start the same though. Clap in, clean the dojo floors, circle up, do meditation, and then a warm-up/stretching sometimes we do basics, sometimes we don't (I actually see that a lot more with the adult black belts than anyone else). Then, depending what we're doing, the belts either split up or not.

Most of the time, we start off with Kata and sometimes Kumite, so the belts are split up, doing what we need to. Then for the adult classes, it goes off into some Shiai and all the belts participate together in this. Sometimes though, we'll work on judo moves like throwing, rolling, breakfalling, etc. I've grown quite attached to that kind of stuff. XD

For the blackbelt class, we do that all as well, but then we also do weapons training. I'm not allowed to use all the weapons though, since I'm not a black belt yet. Just Bo and Tanto for me. Though Tanto-jitsu is actually what I need for brown belt.

We then close with meditation and usually news of how everyone's performing in class and if there are any upcoming local (sometimes not so local) tournaments/competions. ^^ Then we clap out and thus ends our class.

I'm interested in what you have to say about wing chun but could you please start using the full stop (or period as you yanks say)? It makes my eyes bleed trying to read that.. I want you to try something for me.. try saying that entire paragraph you wrote above without taking any breaths...
