Ok, writing as i play the game, first things first. Graphics look brilliant, the framerate is consistent, and the enemies all look nice and detailed.
The new gloves add more moves, but the large ones are too slow to really be effective.
The harpy riding works well, if a bit random weather you are actually going to get to the other side or not.
Gliding with the wings feels really horrible and unresponsive..
Bow and arrow work well.
Quicktime events during a battle are unresponsive and hard to know when you hit the button. The symbols are also annoyingly all around the screen rather than in one place (Triangle at the top, x bottom etc etc)
The finishing move QTE's where ok though (But still had the positioning problem) Executions are nice and gory
Pause button is on select for reasons i don't know.. annoying if you need to pop away for a second and come back realising your dead.
Background action is nice and detailed, fluid, and interesting.
(Bringing up framerate again, so far i haven't had a single slowdown moment which wasn't intentional)
Using enemies as a battering ram is fun.
Pause button is really getting on my nerves.. Why change what has been second nature for almost 18 years..
The camera now switches behind kratos for an over the shoulder, Gears reminiscent view when running to the next destination while not in a fight, which looks quite nice.
Platforming and climbing elements feel nice
Kratos seems to have turned into a bigger a*****e since the first game (I didnt play GOW2)
The flying section is fun, needing quick reactions to get through the tunnels without getting hit.
Regular enemies seem to need more hits to down than before.
Using enemies as tanks, like riding the Cyclops is a nice little toy to play around with.
Helios's head (Which you nicely tear off) can be used as a lantern and to find hidden passages.. also nicely toasts any enemies that are hit by the beam.
Overall.. Its more of the same, but with some added extras, I, to be fair, don't like it enough to warrant a buy.. Its nice, but its not as amazing as the hype suggests. But, thats just my opinion..

Wait, are you talking about the game or the demo? Cause yeah, I don't think any demo is worth a buy. I think it's a bit stupid when people say, "I'm gonna buy this game JUST because it has the demo of that other game with it."
But if you're talking about the game, I think it's a bit unfair to judge by the E3 demo. If GoW3 is better than 2, then it's already worth a buy. But that would require playing the finished product.

I think it's a bit stupid when people say, "I'm gonna buy this game JUST because it has the demo of that other game with it." But if you're talking about the game, I think it's a bit unfair to judge by the E3 demo. If GoW3 is better than 2, then it's already worth a buy. But that would require playing the finished product. Its the E3 Demo.. The whole point of demos is to give you a taste of the game, correct? I got a taste, and it was a bit stale..

In the end never judge a game solely on the demo, since its still be worked on as we speak. Yeah, Heavenly Sword demo seemed kinda stale, but the full game is awesome. And was well worth the purchase.

And was well worth the purchase. Well the heavenly sword demo was about 30 seconds long >.> Like i said.. first impressions.. If the problems are sorted by the time it comes out, then i might buy it.

1. i liked heavenly sword demo because it was fun, i think alot parts of that game would not make a good demo.
2. heavenly sword may be short but awsome
3. i loved every thing about the god of war demo
4. you should play the second one first.
5. it just looks awsome its a bit challenging but awsome
