KageKitsuneB RPGod I'm not addicted to drinking blood and howling at the moon... I can stop anytime! /sarcasm In all serious, these types of people are absolutely crazy. I can't stand Pat Robertson and his dumbass crew. just remember he was a wizard long befor he was vampire. I bet it would make his day for someone to run up to him squealing " Oh My God it's Cederic Diggory!!!!" I think I might just to see his reaction-giggles- Pat Robertson =/= Robert Pattinson. xd Although, If I were to see RPattz on the street I'd probably do just that. "HEY ITS CEDRIC DIGGORY!" He'd prbably be quite relieved.

*giggle* Uuuuhm... "Really clever demons who could get into your candy canes and try to get at you at christmas-time..." LOL. That is one of the most hilarious examples of satire I have ever heard. You could hear him trying not to chuckle at what he was saying. I have known about that article for a long time, but not the video, and the video reassures me that she has some VERY unique views.

What a b***h, crap like this makes me want to go out and practice these holidays more! Freaking cripes people, I don't know of any pagan who bloggs about all the truths and evils and what nots of the Christan and other monothestic religions. Hey, I wonder how much stores like Wal-Mart and Safeway pay witches to pray over their halloween candy because it sounds like a fun job. xp
This reminds me of what Kathy Lee Gifford said on the Today show a while back when talking about wedding rings. They were talking about the orgin of the wedding ring asking where it came from for some prize winning trivia thing and she said 'was it the christians, the someone else or the "filthy nasty pagans". Freaking stupid ignorant sons of....

You ask for my opinion? I will give it. Listen to yourselves. "Shes foolish. She needs help. What an idiot." Who are YOU to judge her? Who are YOU to do just as she does? God said That he will judge you just as you judge others. I am wiccan, and Yes, she is right on many things. She makes since. In her very OWN way. None of you should laugh at her ignorance, because to her, she laughs at our ignorance as well. You may not completely agree with her, but you don't have to. This is like me going into a Catholic church screaming I Love and Adore the Goddess! I honestly do not approve of her view on this and us, But she can at least back what she says up. I don't like the horrible things she has to say about this, but she didn't just make it up. On some level she is truthful. Just because we do not see what goes on does not mean it doesn't happen. I am a very nutural person. I like to view both sides to every story. And there are people who do demonic stuff like bestiality and sacrifices and stuff on Halloween. Thats all she sees. And that's good enough for her to just assume its us all. No reason to get all rawr on this lady. She is a just a faithful person. She is faithful to her own "Lord".

LeeleeBugg_BitesU: I agree with you. I am normally the first to lay down the peace card. Understand that our members feel offended that this happened. Hurt feelings tend to make people say things that they would normally keep to themselves. I understand that she is ignorant, and we are acting ignorant. I think the real reason that our members acted this way is because the piece is so closed minded. The author writes as if there are no other religions other than Christianity. She asks why Halloween is a holly day, and immediately points to the devil. She should have been more open, and researched other religions holidays to come to a real answer. She is defiantly blind to other paths feelings and activities.
We do not need a rant thread here in our guild, telling each other how bad this woman is is not helping anyone. We should be promoting pagan tolerance outside of this thread. Go to the source of this article and tell them your side of the story. Tell them about how wonderful a time Samhain is, and how it is a very spiritual thing. Tell them that many people do not believe in the sacrifices, not say that they do not happen, and don't worship the devil on that day. They worship gods and goddesses that are just different from the Christian Faith.
If you guys even read the entire thread you would have noticed that they warned you that it was offensive, one sided, and opinionated. They also gave you a link to an opposing side of the argument. She is also crazy. She believes that mummies, witches on brooms, Dracula, and werewolves, as depicted in cartoons, are real.

The article is rather amusing and the video is even better. That reverend is so cool XD. It kind of scares me that she believes in all the stuff she stated in her writing but people are a product of how they are raised and there will always be someone out there who believes this crazy stuff.
I kind of feel bad for the Christian community because while yes there are Christians who believe these things I've also met many Christians who would think this article is just stupid and it is yet another bad mark on a religion that isn't really that horrible just not for everybody.
The reverend in the video displays this quite well in fact. He shows that there are Christians that don't really care what pagans do and that we are just normal people like everyone else.
Honestly, Christianity itself teaches live and let live it's the fundamentalists who make them look bad.

the only reason i posted it was because people get very offended by others like her its very very upsetting to me when people think all pagans/wiccans and others of the sort are devil worshipers etc. Quote: Even the colors of Halloween (orange, brown and dark red) are dedicated. These colors are connected to the fall equinox, which is around the 20th or 21st of September each year and is sometimes called "Mabon." During this season witches are celebrating the changing of the seasons from summer to fall. They give praise to the gods for the demonic harvest. They pray to the gods of the elements (air, fire, water and earth). ^^things like this, i wouldnt mind but that one word "demonic" sticks out and upsets me i thank the god and goddess for a good year and to watch over my family during the winter months i dont consider that demonic at all theres alot that i dont disagree with in her writing but i am not going to rant about it we all were given the freewill to speak out for what we belive in no matter what that may be.

Wow did I miss that memo or what...if I'd know that thats what Halloween really was I wouldn't have set out a candle for those past and persented harvest foods to my god & goddess stachuses. I would have been prasing Lusifur like every one ells. WTH!!-Really what must she have been thinking & what was she on when this was written. The sad thing is theres plenty of people out there that eat this stuf up, and bring even more misconception and hatetred to us and other religions and cultures. And is it just me or is it weired that her artical is very closes to an acurit history of Halloween and the celibration that started it in some parts, just with a random word put to make it seam 'evil', or what ever.Edit by Mod: Please don't double post - it's against our guild rules. Instead, hit up the edit button. wink
If you're unsure of the definition of double posting, or our rules for that matter, then our Guild Guidebook should answer all your questions.oceantail didn't her mommy ever tell her that its not a good idea to mess with a religion that encourages the use of pointy objects lol though seriously it is not okay that there are so many of these false accusations No kidding hu; and if we had done half the things she and others say we do I wouldn't wont to go around provoking our 'demonic' rath. lol
