Vampire:
Vampire's are undead creatures that appear human or Elven. They must drink the blood of a living in order to sustain their undead life. It is believed that they are a failed attempt at immortality.
Vampire's are located all over Descadias but reside in the shadows. Sunlight is harmful to them, as are holy relic's. To slay a Vampire one must either cut off its head or stab it in the heart with a wooden stake. Another means to kill one is to trap it in the sunlight or set it on fire.

Vrykolakas:
Vrykolakas are a different type of vampire. Unlike the Vampire, sunlight does nothing to them. They do not appear human or elven like Vampires. Instead they appear more beastly almost demonic.
They are located within caves and forests around Descadias, venturing out when they are hungry. Stories have been told of towns being attacked by groups of these creatures, leading one to believe they work in teams.
To kill one, you must cut off its head or cut it in half.
