Remus J Lupin - Moony
Okay so everyone knows about the dueling club and such in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. If you're on the HP WB boards you'll likely know what this is too.
For dueling you have to post everything in separate posts, giving the other person the chance to attack, defend, run, so on.

Here's a sample:
Post one:
___ Apparates in.
Post two:
Aims wand at ____.
Post three:
"Stupefy [or name of other spell here]."
Post four:
Dodges [if you think the other person may attack you might put this].
Post five:
___ Disapparates.

The rules for Apparating and Disapparating is this:
- You must put a shortened version of your username before your Apparation so everybody knows what to call you when they aim their wand at you. Not everyone wants to waste time typing out "Aims wand at Remus J Lupin - Moony". If you do wish to type out the full username of the person, it works just as well.
- You may not put up enchantments to disallow people from Disapparating.
- If you are logging out, you must Disapparate.

The rules for attacking is this:
- If somebody Avada Kedavras you, it automatically Disapparates you out. To continue fighting, you must post:
"___ Apparates in"
Again, as though you were just coming back.
- If you are Stupefied, your next post is void. Say somebody Stupefies you, and your next post was dodging. Somebody else attempts to Avada Kedavra you, and it will be as though you never dodged.
- The same rules apply for Crucio as Stupefy.
- If somebody 'Expelliarmus's you, you must make a post to pick up your wand.
- "Imperio" is not allowed.
- wahmbulance -
The rules for dodging:
- Posting "Rolls left" or "Rolls right" is just as good as dodging. It works just the same.
- "Protego" is also a dodging move.
- If you post: "Aims wand at ___" and the other person dodges, you must post "Aims wand at___" again or your spell will miss.
- wahmbulance -
Rules for posting out of character:
To talk to someone while you are Apparated in please use " " or ' '.
If you are Disapparated, please use (( )), [[ ]], or << >>.
---------------------------------------------------------
I know this has a lot of rules, but it worked out really well on the HP WB boards, and I'm just throwing this out there for anyone who wants to give it a try in hopes it will work out just as well here.
If you would like, "Mosmordre" is a nice spell to use after you AK someone to cast the Dark Mark.
I am aware it's very hard with the long lag between posts, but hey, that's half the fun!
Have fun with it!!
P.S. If you actually read all this - you get chocolate.
