Raelin nuzzled in closer to him and he found himself leaning into her, their heads now touching, side to side. She uttered his name in his ear and he closed his eyes in bliss, never had he heard it whispered to him in such a manner of address and the affection it seemed to carry was unearthly. At the next words that followed he could not help but open his eyes once again and twist them slightly to try and catch hers. 'I think you have it in you but for now I am content to have you by my side.' He hoped she did not take this the wrong way, in the short space of time they had known each other the relationship between them had developed rapidly. He was content to have her here, no more than that, but proud? Not yet, but he saw that he could be one day, should she choose to stand at his side.
Haemon wiggled his forepaws upon which rested Raelin's head and he grinned mischievously, wiggling them a little more and then he lifted up his right paw and tipped her head towards his and he nuzzled her, giving her another lick on her muzzle before letting her head rest back down upon his paws. He rose his head and losing his grin his eyes grew distant.
He thoughts travelled to his brothers and the inevitable meeting, he himself had not yet seen them since they entered the pack and now that they patrolled the packs boarders they would soon learn of his arrival. What would interest them more however would be the scent of a female, Raelin. Haemon knew he had promised her that he'd help her with the insecurities which caused her quick temper but at the same time he'd need to teach her how to master it and use it effectively, for she would need that fire when meeting Geri and Freki. He sighed and looked down at her upon his paws with trepidation ridden in his voice he informed her, 'You'll have to meet my brothers soon, you know this?'

Haemon being content with her there was more than enough for now. It showed that he wanted her there. That meant a lot to her. She gave a soft hum of agreement to those words, showing that she was fine with them. If she really wanted the other to be proud of him, she would have to earn it. And that would make it that much sweeter when it happened.
When she felt him wiggle his forepaws, she had to grin and started to laugh softly. That mischievous grin made her heart flutter, but not nearly as much as it did when he licked at her muzzle. Once it stopped, her smile faded a little. It had been such a nice moment, but He seemed to grow distant after that.
There was slight shock going through Raelin when she heard that his brothers were close enough that she would meet them soon. If these were the same brothers, which she was almost positive they were, she would have to learn to stay silent and treat them with respect despite the fact that she was against what they had done. This would be a struggle for her, and she would very much need help from Haemon to tame herself. She had a feeling that he knew that, though.
"I want to be ready when I meet them. I want to have control of myself and any situation. I do not wish to shame you."

Haemon remained distant lost in his own thoughts, but focused enough on the here and now to take in Raelin's words. He did not know how old Raelin was but whether young or old, he knew she would not be able to match his brothers. He would of not liked her facing even one of them, but the fact was they were never separated, always together as a whole. Geri and his blood lust and his hunger for battle while Freki was the minds behind the two and a great tactician in both battle and politics. Haemon would have no choice as to when they would meet, his brothers ravens probably even now, knew where he was and soon his brothers would hunt him down, curious as to the female company he kept and to see him after such a long time after their last meeting. All he could do was to face them with Raelin and not let her leave her side.
He looked down at her, his thoughts now moving in a different direction. He didn't think she wasn't capable of caring for herself, he would not take that liberty away from her but he had told her he'd help her and in that agreement he added the clause that he'd take total command should it all become out of her ability range. Though he would not tell her this, yet, for he did not think she'd like the idea. Blinking once, twice, he focused again on her truly, in the present.
Nothing really escaped Haemon, even when he was lost in thoughts or focused upon other matters. Before gloomy thoughts of his brothers took him he remembered the way in which her blood had began to pick up speed, her heart pumping it faster about her body when he had played with her, finishing it with a lick. Closing the issue with his brothers he announced, 'Whatever happens Raelin, I will be by your side and I will look after you.' Then he slowly pulled his paws out from under her chin, pushing his weight back he rose to stand in front of her, a grin spreading across his face and then he took a step closer to her and twisted to stand alongside her. Slowly, he lowered himself to the floor once again, this time the whole length of his body next to hers and he pressed himself to her, his head nuzzling her neck.

It wasn't hard to tell that Haemon wasn't totally with her for a few moments. She remained silent and allowed him to do the pondering that would he to do.
The words made her smile, it relieved pressure she did not know was building in her mind. She wouldn't have to watch her every thought, every step and be overly careful. The more she stressed out about it, the worse it would get. Perhaps Haemon knew this, he did seem quite wise.
When he pulled from her, she grew curious. The moment he moved to relax next to her, her heart beat even faster, showing her joy. She nuzzled back into him, pressing their bodies together to share the warmth and comfort he could provide. A soft sigh left her after a moment, her eyes sliding closed as she relaxed and enoying the moment.
It was an amazingly safe feeling, the other was no doubt strong and said he would look after her. Though she was no push over, she needed help while working on her own inner strength.
She thought by the time she could stand on her own, she would no longer wish to and still want to be by Haemon's side. But she would no longer be a burden, and instead be a partner to him.
"I will stay by your side, too, Haemon. Nothing will change that."
