My Black Heart
It starts out at my house. There was a party and for some reason Denny was there. I see him approach me and then he began to lean in towards me. My first reaction was to push him away, so I put both my hands on his chest, slightly pushing him away from me. “What do you think your doing?” he didn’t answer me and I gave him shove. “Keithie!” I called out. Then I used my magic to throw him across the room, and he landed on the living room coach. “Stay away from me!” I yelled as I walked towards the dinning room. I almost ran into Keith, who had just come out of the bathroom. “What’s wrong?” “Oh, it’s nothing…” I continued to walk into the kitchen. I saw Nathan, Diana, Nick, Lisa, and Aaron Richey sitting at the table. Keith joined them. I stood against the frige and then Denny walked in. he got close to me again and I used my magic to throw him, he hit the sink and fell to the floor. “You can’t go back home with him ya know.” Denny managed to say. “What if I don’t want to go back home? What I want to stay here and have kids?” “He is an Atheist. It is going to be hard to raise kids with an Atheist.” “I know he is and I don’t care.” “Your kids may be weak or not have any magick at all.” “They are my kids and will have my genes, which means they will have my powers. They will not be weak! Even if they are they are my children and I do not care. I will love them even if they have no magick at all; in fact, it may be better that way if the children were normal.” I fell towards the ground as a sharp pain came over me. I felt an electrical pulse run through my body like I was a live wire. Little sparks came off my body and everything began to hurt. “What’s happening?” I cried. My father appeared and scooped me up and began walking towards the living room. My mother appeared in the kitchen covering her mouth and reaching out to me. She took a couple of steps and then teleported where my father was. “Let me have her.” My mother begged. My father gave her a look and then handed her over. She walked back to the kitchen and stared at the table. “Move!” she screamed. Everyone at the table got up and quickly and moved out of the way. With her magick she pulled the table closer to her and laid me on it. I began to throw up blood and my mother caught it with a bucket she pulled out from nowhere. I got on my hands and knees, hovering over the bucket. My demon wings came out of my back and I began to scream. Then my tail pierced through my skin making me bleed even more. Then my horns came out of my head and I screamed bloody murder, which echoed through the house. My eyes then turned black as I looked up at everyone. “Nya!” I screamed as I laid down on my back. She appeared behind me leaning against the table. As she reached out to me, Kitti appeared next to her, grabbing her arm. “No. Let me do this.” Nya stepped away and let Kitti do the job. Kitti reached into my body, using her spirit mode, and started fishing around for something. Then she pulled out something. I was so gone that I didn’t even know what was happening. I was in my own world. “Her black heart.” Kitti said with a sly smile. I snapped out of my trance and stared at the black heart hanging from her hands. My father appeared. “Did you cauterize it?” he asked in a not so pleasant voice. Her eyes went wide as if the thought of what she had done haunted her mind. “If that back blood gets into her blood stream it can kill her or change who she is completely. She would remain in that trace and who knows what she would do then.” Kitti handed Thunder the bag that had the black heart in it. Kitti went to grab a knife from the drawers and she heated it up on the stove fire. She grabbed the un-cauterized vein and set the side of the knife against it. Then she put it back into my body hoping that maybe none of the blood got into my system. I was shocked by what had just happened. “You pulled out my heart?!” “Your black heart.” “I have two hearts?!” “Yep” (“I swear everyone acts way too casual about things like this. Does anyone besides me find this odd or creepy?”) “Well I guess everything is over now?” My father just nodded. He kissed me on the forehead. “I told you I wouldn’t let anything happen to you and that I would be there if you were going to die” Thunder said quietly in my ear. I smiled. My mother also kissed me on the forehead. “Goodbye my dear.” Then they disappeared. “You know they won’t be here forever.” Kitti said with sympathy. “I know…sometimes it makes me angry at the fact that they would retire their lives and give up watching me grow up. I don’t even remember my childhood with them, and I feel as if I will never know them or myself.” “They have been around a long time and they just want some peace to their lives. After awhile you want to just pass over…it becomes tiresome to keep going even if you truly want to. You have no idea what it feels like to linger for this long. After you’ve accomplished so much and have done everything you could possibly think of you finally just want to retire from life. I’m not as old as they are, but I am getting there. Not quite, but still I have been around for awhile.” “What if something happens to me while they are gone.” “They are doing everything they can to ensure your safety while they are gone. That’s why they will not leave until you concur your dark magick. They know when to leave. They are not going to leave you empty handed and without a clue. You will know who they are and who you are. You will know how to control your dark magick and how to use your light magick. Don’t worry. When the day comes everything will be taken care of.” “Okay.” I took a deep breath and let out a sigh. “I guess everything is taken care of here and we can go back to the party. Nya and Kitti returned to my body and I went on with my regular life.
