You might remember I failed a couple of subjects, so if things stay on track I'll be finishing up my degree after Summer school
But since most of my friends are graduating at the end of this semester
It feels like my uni life is coming to an end
I'm really going to miss it
At least we've been making the most of the weather
Spending as much time as possible hanging out on the uni lawns and outside at cafes!

I hope you keep in touch with everyone. It's so easy to drift apart.

I know I'll stay in touch with my closest uni girlfriends, although that's probably only 5 or so people. They're all either working in the city, or doing double degrees so they'll be there for another two years. Hopefully that means we can meet during lunch breaks or for dinner after work.

But there'll be a lot of people I won't see around because the network just isn't there. I think I'm more likely to stay in touch with my extended high school group - everone knows each other and events get organised.

The only people I keep in touch with are the ones I went to Japan with. Really, there's no need to stay close to more than a handful of your close friends in my opinion. The school was trying to sell me a directory so I'd know where all my classmates were and what they were doing, but I don't know who 90% of them are!

I just checked this up. There are 228 people in my school year level's facebook group. That's out of about 360 people. No need for a directory - facebook fulfills all your stalking needs!

Besides, I bump into people at the shops all the time anyway. It's not like many people have moved away from the suburb...

it must be a bittersweet time

i know high school graduation was that way for me.

being at an online school i really dont know anybody so even though graduation is nearing it's just sort of an empty feeling

except for the worry about how to find a job and pay off my loans

It's very strange. When you finish high school you have dress up day, graduation, end of year breakfast, etc. There's a really big celebrationary feel with everyone taking lots of photos and getting stuff signed - so it actually feels like you're finishing.

At the end of uni, people are graduating on different dates, some people are doing 5 year degrees so they aren't graduating at all, and the campus is so big you don't even see everyone who's finishing up. So on the one hand it feels like just another day, except it isn't...
