“Let go of me, someone save the data!” Despite Pat’s effort to push her up the stairs, Kiera dug her nails into her brother’s flesh and forcefully pushed him aside before running back down towards the computers.
Pat winced has he quickly let go of his vicious sister to survey the damage her nails had done to him; she had grabbed hard enough to draw blood. “Kiera! Rick is going for the emergency brake right now. It’s pointless!”
Kiera vaguely acknowledged her brothers shouting in the background as her fingers quickly entered the command to save the data and simultaneously send a backup copy to a remote location. Her eyes were hard as she impatiently watched the status of the save and upload. The status bar was almost at 100% when the screens flickered and died out.
‘My sister is crazy,’ Pat decided, ‘ but nevertheless she is my blood sister who would haunt me if she died first.’ “Kiera! We need to leave NOW!” Pat rushed down the stairs as Kiera slammed her hands down on the surface and curled her lips in an angry snarl. The surround machines began to hum and smoke as if resonating with the female scientist’s anger.
“Kiera! NOW! We’re dead if these blow! Pat should have been able to shut them down by now!” Pat’s heterochromatic eyes shone with desperation as he pleaded with his sister.
The angry female whirled around to face her brother “We WILL BE dead if we don’t…”
Pat interrupted his sister’s screeching, “I had a copy of the new data already saved. Let’s go!”
Hearing that Pat had a copy of the data, Kiera rushed up pass Pat and up the stairs to safety.
As Pat left the lab after Kiera, he turned around to seal the doors shut as emergency protocol deemed. For a minute there was nothing but the sound of heavy breathing and machines going haywire from within the room. All of a sudden, the lights went out and the emergency lights flickered on in the hallway.
“I guess Rick managed to finally get the brake to work,” Pat muttered to himself as he leaned forward to rest his head against the solid doors.
“So, where did you save the data?”
Pat audibly gulped as he turned at the cool voice of his dear sister. “Ah, a copy is available on the remote memory.” Pat wiped the beads of sweat that began to rush down his face and neck. ‘ God, Gods, Spirits, Professors, SOMEONE please make sure she doesn’t find out I lied. Wait, I didn’t lie. There is a new copy but its not the newest. Please let me out of this alive and I promise to never do wrong again!
Kiera raised a skeptical eyebrow, “Well then. Let’s go find it. I hope you didn’t lie just to get us out of there.”
Pat paled visibly as his sister started walking towards the main hall.

Sakura was oblivious to the situation as always. This time, her back was turned away from the chaos happening right outside her giant glass box. When everybody suddenly had to leave, she resumed playing with Kagura. She had made a butterfly out of leaves, and was manipulating it with the wind so that it flew around her baby tiger.
Kagura growled playfully and pounced at the leaf butterfly, but always to no avail. When pouncing didn't work, Kagura tried to swat at it. The leaf butterfly always seemed to get away just in time. Sakura giggled as she watched Kagura. The leaf butterfly suspended itself in the air, and Kagura crouched down low. Its tail flicked back and forth, waiting for the opportune moment. Finally, Kagura lauched itself into the air...but it was too small to reach that high up in the air. Defeated, Kagura mewed and crawled back to Sakura, pushing its head under Sakura's hand as if seeking comfort.
Sakura scooped Kagura up, cradling it in her arms. Placing a small kiss on its nose, Sakura said, "Oh, Kagura! I love you! You are the cutiest."
Still craddling Kagura, Sakura finally turned around only to see that nobody was around. Blinking her eyes a couple times and cocking her head to the side, she could only assume that play time was over.
"Well! I guess it's time to leave Kagura! Wanna go back home?"
With that, Sakura floated over to one of the glass walls. She could almost feel the tranquility of Crystal Moon Lake surround her. Although she hadn't been away for that long, she dearly missed the food there. There was an excellent assortment of trees and flowers! And the glowing orbs of light always danced with her!
The glass door seemed to melt away, forming a large archway for Sakura to exit through. After all, glass was just sand in another form. Her wings appeared on her back, and Sakura left the glass box. After that, it wasn't hard for Sakura to find a window for her to exit through.
The crisp air weaved through her hair and ruffled Kagura's fur. Kagura let out a loud purr in content. Sakura laughed in excitement. It had been a while since her last flight, and it was something that just delighted both her and Kagura! She opened her mouth and took a bite out of a cloud.

"She.. She's gone." Rick said with his eye twitching. Next to him stood Pat who's cig fell to the floor with a silent poof!
A strange arch was in their view seemingly flawlessly carved through the glass dome in which they kept Sakura.
"I.. I really thought we dodged the bullet real well with not having any of our equipment fried but..." Rick began as he pointed to the computers at their side which were starting up again.
"BUT THE FREAKIN FAIRY IS GONE!" Pat finished for him as he cried out in horror throwing both of his hands in the direction of the carved arch.
"What the heck are we going to tell big sis!?" Pat asked as he pulled his hands up to his mouth and began gnawing at his thumb.
"... SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII----" Both of them began to panic and hug each other tightly.
