Not all Christians think it's bad to be gay. The Bible can be interpreted in many different ways.
Some people say gay people are going to hell. Most of them say they think that way because sex is for reproduction, not pleasure. And two men cannot reproduce. But that doesn't really make a whole lot of sense. Sexual activity feels good and is good for our health. Most people have sex because it feels good. I bet even those people who claim to think it's for reproduction only enjoy the feeling of it too. And most people don't have unprotected sex during ovulation for all their life, nor would it be wise too. That many pregnancies is not good for the wallet, for the woman's body, or for the environment.
Other people say that everyone is made in God's image, and we're born with our sexual preference. Therefore, God's sexuality must be fluid, and it must be ok to be gay. They also argue that God must have made sex. And since it feels good and is good for us (frequent ejaculation lowers your risk of prostate cancer), that God must have made it that way. Some Christians are even in favor of gay marriage. They argue that marriage has changed since Biblical times anyway and there is no reason that it couldn't change some more. After all, isn't Christianity supposed to be more about love and less about hate?
I am not Christian, but I have to say that the logic of the second group makes a heck of a lot more sense to me than the logic of the first group. So if you're gay and Christian, that's ok. If you're Christian and support gay marriage, that's ok too. No matter how you interpret the Bible, some people will agree with you and others will not. So choose what works for you.
